Without team Silent their is no point making a new Silent Hill.
I'd trust Kojima to do something good with it.
The dream is to bring back the guys who gave us Silent Hill 2 though, almost 20 years later and it never got a proper follow up.

It's the same deal with the busty nurses, I hate the way the movie took over SH's aesthetics, the movie basically ruined the franchise, it's what started the trend of it moving away from being a very Japanese thing (despite the US setting) to a more westernized thing.
A reboot or a fourth game I wonder?
That'd be ironic, given how some of the original developers are making The Calisto Protocol as a spiritual successor.
Not that I'd say no to a remade trilogy or a new title, Dead Space had a compelling setting.

Honestly, the more I am reading about it: I don't think its going to be any good.
Firstly, Motive is doing it. Squadrons was good, but I don't think they are the right type of studio for this. Especially with Dead Spaces narrative world building. Squadrons single player narrative was absolute dogshit.
Then I hear its a "reimagining" which just makes me pessimistic. So we aren't going to address the cliff hanger with Isaac?
Is the main character going to be a lesbian woman?
It seems like it's just a name cash grab.

“Reimagining” is like the most divergent from the originals a Re can get. So… you certainly have a right to be concerned.

That's fine, this means people can't watch Let's Plays once the whores declare all games problematic and Twitch takes it's final form as an E-Brothel.
People will then be forced to realize that games can't be a passive experience.
I have sneaking suspicion, since EA wanted to turn Dead Space into a co-op game:
We may be getting a "Left 4 Dead" Dead Space. It would line up with Motive, a studio that does multiplayer games.
The irony of this situation after we've had to listen for years to Sarkeesian types whine about even the most mildly sexualized female characters in games and now female gamers themselves have started whoring it up.
