Games made for you - Have you ever played a game you felt was made just for you?

Ok so this is something that transcends just a ‘favourite games’ thread, here’s where you can say what game you ever played that was as if the developers were making it just for you, because it touched every fibre of your avid gaming senses.

For me it’s Deadly Premonition, as someone who fucking loves Twin Peaks and obscure horror movies the game allowed me to chill out in a town and experience the same passions through a cool detective’s eyes, before delving into some mental stories about other people that twisted and turned like I imagine most people around me to.

Metal Gear Solid 2. I love conspiracy theories and meta story telling. It was also my first MGS game so I'll always have good memories

Persona 2. The gameplay is crap but it has the best story out of all the series. Its also similar to MGS2 with its conspiracy theories., paranoia, and the ramifications of misinformation. The major twists in both games are very similar.

Seconded on Fallout New Vegas.

Also the original 1996 Tomb Raider. Even to this day, I play that game and I am transported to somewhere else; at one with the leaping and running of Lara. At times I’ve even dreamed in 6ft x 6ft angular grids.

I think MGSV, it is not my favorite game in the series, but it just fits my taste so well.
a ranking system, a lot of freedom, enough room to just fool around, I was disappointed the story itself doesnt have as many goofy things as the other games but the gameplay itself still has them, it just goes pretty well with trying to speed run every mission.

The only thing they haven't scratched is the pokemon itch and the closest that comes to that is Pokemon Conquest or Black/White 2

P2 jumped the shark high with final boss Hitler. P2 Eternal Punishment is better imho and Maya is an amazing character.

P3 is even better with its story and it delved in really important topics for teenagers that no other game did at the time.

Zelda TP was made for me, and I come back to it on emulation often for the feels. A spiritual sequel to my prior favorite (Majora) with an overall more mature art style and a series first T-rating. Music is tied with OOT/MM in terms of overall quality for me (Nintendo should/could have orchestrated the score though). Tight controls with the Hidden Skill movesets gives it my favorite Zelda combat (even if it could be easy at times). It also has my favorite lore because ultimately the story is bound by blood descendent, not just reincarnation, to Ocarina of Time. Creating a Zelda Trilogy with OOT/MM Link literally passing the torch to TP Link to defeat the same Ganon. Having Midna remains a bonus.

Planescape: Torment. First played it when I was 14 and it was nothing like I’d expected or experienced before in an rpg. I got so drawn into the plot, the characters, the semi philosophical nature of existence and morality. As faggy as it might sound, it was also the first time I got emotionally invested in a game, there are some scenes that made me get teary-eyed. It’s my idea of a perfect game, still remains my all time favorite game and I still come back to replay it every few years

Doom 2016, full stop. All the graphical horsepower of current gen gaming with the bombastic, over-the-top silliness that was 90s FPS games. I've always loved classic 90s shooters, and Doom 2016 brought back that kind of insanity to modern gaming. I've played through it a dozen times and I will play it again a dozen more. It's everything I want out of a video game: blood-pumping action that never lets up, badass music, a deceptively intricate story, and one of the angriest, toughest protagonists to ever grace the medium. And the fact that it happens to be a continuation of one of my absolute favorite video game franchises is the cherry on top.
