For me it would be dwarf fortress and warframe. I tried getting my friends into both but they had no clue what to do even after I helped them through it. It’s also kinda sad that the two mentioned above games along with Skullgirls and War Thunder are pretty much the only games I care for anymore

I'm trying to figure out what makes a game autistic. Obviously intricacy is one, but how opaque does it have to get before potential players start screaming and throwing LEGOs everywhere? The Void has a lot of hidden mechanics and goes out of it's way to not tell you how to play the game, so I could go either way on that one.

Most Paradox grand strategy games are :autism: as fuck, though.

Any game can be made more autistic simply by putting in more time and effort and attention than what is truly needed to successfully complete a game.

Example One:
Stealth Game (Regular) - Sneaky sneaky around a mansion, stealth kill the target, kill any witnesses, escape
Stealth Game (Autisic) - Start in the courtyard, steal the screwdriver the mechanic drops, head to the far end of the level, wait two minutes for the guards to pass, make your way to the gazebo, sabotage the chandelier, head back to the main house, wait for target, target dies by death by chandelier, escape via dummy waiter.

Example Two:
Fighting Game (Regular) - Hit and Kick, it's all in the mind, learn by flailing around your character can shoot fireballs and do a somersault.
Fighting Game (Austistic) - Okay, before we begin, you need to understand the mechanics of invisible hit boxes and frame input. Afterwards, we will go into move cancels and wavedashing. Oh, and you can only use like, two characters ou of a roster of 40 if you want to get anywhere in tournaments.

Example Three:
Shooty Shooty Game (Regular) - Oh cool, I finished the game on Normal difficulty. That was an enjoyable 10-15 hour adventure.
Shooty Shooty Game (Autistic) - I have completed this game ten times, but I still need to complete it in Hell Mode where I'm not allowed to die so I can collect some random ass gun to complete a collection so then I can get that juicy 30-point achievement added to my achievement score which amounts to absolutely nothing in real-life.

Example Four:
Minecraft (Regular) - Well, I'm pretty proud of this house I made by the sea.
Minecraft (Autistic) - I have created a 3-mile wide machine to count time using redstone and logic gates!
