Games you reminisce playing... - ..but can't recall the name of, sometimes.

I totally did not steal this from somewhere else, but I figured I would try to introduce to this little cancer nest of the internet as well as promote discussion and detective work. But yeah, this topic is pretty much for those games you remember playing as a kid, but for the life of you cannot remember the name of. Anyway, I'll get this party started.

Games that made it successfully out of nostalgic amnesia:

Games that continue to successfully remain in the fog of nostalgic amnesia:

- This one is a old DOS/MacOS game. The game has some flying car in the future in a dark alleyway. And I believe all were on demo discs at the time I played them.

- What I rememember about this one is where you played as a robotic tank that was olive in color, with steel color claw arms, and tank tracks for legs. The character had an angled, slanted front, and it was an arena fighting game.

Funny enough, up until just yesterday when the new Game Sack episode came out, I spent almost over 20 years trying to figure out the name of a SNES giant robot game I remember renting a lot as a kid.

Turned out it was Xardion.

I played an educational CD-ROM adventure (?) game about travelling the world as a young child which I remember having a phone that would ring incessantly until you answered it to receive a message about what you were supposed to do next. Something like that. I wish I could remember the name.

Do you know the developer? It could be Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Or perhaps Pajama Sam?

Two of the first games I ever played were ones my mom randomly rented from our local video store. We didn't own a system, but they bought two systems that were rentable to certain locals (it was a small town VHS store). I never knew the names of the names, but one was a had you on a rollercoaster and it had fairies or some shit. The other one was a racing game were you raced tiny cars in a normal sized world (think Ant Man racing). We rented those so much. Fun times.

Played a classic PS2 game ages ago obviously. It had something to do with 4 soldiers in the fucking desert.(Real descriptive I know) but you could switch between team members and each one had a specialty like a sniper,a rifleman, machine gunner, and a squad leader. I remember playing it with my dad so I know it's split screen. It also involved tanks, landmines, and other vehicles.

Conflict: Desert Storm

Do not go back and play it, it has aged terribly.

I remember being four or five and finding a title I couldn't read in my grandma's collection of NES games. I never got past the first level because the level boss was a three headed dragon where the heads came off the body and flew around while shooting fire at you. I think the title started with an "A" but it seemed like a random collection of letters .

Okay so there's this game I fell in love with as a kid, I can't remember a lot of it but I mostly remember the logo of the people who made the game, it was similar to a closed eye with drops/eyelashes under it, I drew my best replication with my kid memory. IIRC the game itself was kind of an exploration/sidescroller type game, with lots of plant life. if i saw the actual logo or something from the game i would remember it, i think.

the other was super creepy to me as a kid, it was a lighthouse that was, looking back, sort of nancy drew meets myst-ish. it had demons and reminded me strongly of agatha christies books. no idea what the name was.

I remember my neighbor had a bike racing game on N64. Literally all I remember is that the menus had bike chains going across them (and I think the background was blue?).

Eh, it was never that good in the first place to be honest.
