There are so many different podcasts relating to the gaming industry these days.
YouTube communities as well for that matter. Do you guys have any favorites? Or any that you loath?

Personally I really enjoyed Retronauts on the now defunct 1up.com. They may have a new show but I've not checked it out yet.

The Indoor Kids is another entertaining one. It doesn't just focus on gaming but it's a good one nonetheless.

Game Grumps I've never bothered with. Heard they've gone downhill and I'm to picky to give a shit.

Giant Bomb always strikes me as one I'd like to check out but just haven't yet.

Thoughts, suggestions, hatred whatever.

most gaming podcasts suck tbh.

Very few gaming podcasters have any idea how game design works or the history of a particular franchise, aside from absurdly popular ones like Metal Gear Solid. And they almost always focus on gaming news than any particular editorial subject on something.

So a lot of them blend together when I listen to them because they virtually talk about the exact same subjects. The only one i've stuck to listening to is Pat the NES Punk if only because he tends to stick to talking about news in old retro game collecting and was a big part in the Coleco Chameleon drama that occurred a few months ago.

I'm pretty sure Retronauts has moved their
Podcast elsewhere. If you haven't before check it out. Old episodes are still up on 1up.com I believe. It's really fun. Super old school games if that's your thing. I've been through damn near every episode over the years.

The bombcast is good in general but Jeff cynism is not for everyone, thought the guy can be a godamn video game prophet (as long it is not Japanese games or Nintendo) at times as how the industry reacts. Their lack of knowledge of the japanese side of the industry and Brad half reading news are their general weakness.

Does Retsutalk count? It's a bit more niche, but I like to put it on, partially just as background noise, whenever there's a new episode. It's not particularly deep or professional, but I enjoy it. Especially the dsp episodes were really funny.

Co-Optional Podcast and Best Friendscast are the only gaming podcasts I listen to regularly.

Lords of Thunder might be fun, but I haven't really checked it out.
