Many years before Gmail, there was G-mail (short for Garfieldmail).
In 1998, the email service for Garfield fans was launched at gmail.garfield.com. It migrated to e-garfield.com in 2001 and was shut down in 2007. Despite the fact that there's no way to log in, it appears to still be in operation. Sending emails to @catsrule.garfield.com addresses doesn't generate bounce backs and Wikileaks provides evidence that in 2010, breemadalene_gt@catsrule.garfield.com was sending emails to the Syrian government.

So who is breemadalene? How did they log in, and why were they sending spam to Syria? Really makes u think.
Maybe we should start keeping an eye out for secret spy messages on the Garfield site.
