On September 2, 2016, Seim commented on People v. Turner, the case in which Brock Turner was convicted of sexual assault for having sexually molested an unconscious woman. Turner was caught by two college students who witnessed this, confronted him, and apprehended Turner when he fled. Seim commented, "I don't excuse bad behavior. This young man [Turner] was greatly lacking in character, as was the supposed victim who later regretted her actions and decided it was his fault by default. Brock was never convicted of rape and there was no evidence to it. The lesser charges he was convicted [of] in an unconstitutional court were dubious at best, as both parties were drunk and, the so called 'victim' so much so that she could not even remember what happened. Intercourse never even occurred!"

Usually I'm pretty open to strange logic the weirdos of the world use, but this is one of those cases where I'm a bit stumped. I don't really understand what they're getting out of the whole SovCit thing, it legitimately only takes a few moments of looking around to realize that it's unfeasible and does not reflect the laws of the nation in the slightest. Is it just relishing in the opportunity to be roughed up by cops, while simultaneously playing a victim of some imagined cruelty?
