So my mate just informed me about some Tumblr thing going on called Woody's Roundup.

Apparently, what happens when blogs get taken down after callouts is that these Woody people take their URLs and turn them into Toy Story roleplay blogs and just post a bunch of weird shit.

I looked them up in the Tumblr tags and now a bunch of folks are making callout posts directed at the Woodys in hopes that they will help take them down.

I'm surprised former "problematic" tumblr users like myself haven't been affected by this odd trend in all honesty.

It's disturbing how quickly they mobilize once they have any sort of figurehead with an idea. That's when tumblr most resembles a cult: When someone else puts their neck on the line first.

If they're only taking pedo blogs like in that example, that's one thing, but something tells me they're doing this with blogs guilty of wrongthink as well.

I think there are a few blogs that this happened to? I will say it is funny to see some actually racist post and see that the person is now a part of the round up. Or the posts that are titled something close to "Good Ending" and it'll have blogs like sixpence have the woody avatar.

From what I've seen callout blogs on tumblr are usually about pretty stupid, petty stuff-- tumblrinas calling out people that disagree with them or that they don't like by trying to deem them as "problematic" or just trying to start drama for the hell of it.

I remember a while ago having a run-in with bakuraryou/despairkomaeda, who was actually a legitimately bad person (emotionally abusive and manipulative, turned very quickly on people if they did something he didn't like, got his entourage to harass and even stalk those people and their friends) and at one point there was a callout post for him.
I feel like for people who actually do things that seriously affect people (like being harassed and sent gory images on multiple online accounts), it can be a good idea to warn others of their actions, especially in the circles those people run in.

Callout posts for people who ship something or like certain things in media or basically 95% of the reasons behind callout posts these days... Unnecessary, and usually over some petty grudge.

I think my favorite callout post of all time is this one, about a user named Zach "bugpicnic". Zach started sending death threats at a user named "traumatizedofficial", claiming she was cyberbullying him. Turns out, she had nothing to do with the "bullying" at all, so people started laughing at him. After Zach realized this, he pretended to be in a coma.

After people rightfully laughed at him, his ""sister"" claimed Zach was going to be okay...

...But nevermind, he died.

People didn't fall for that either, so he backpedaled again, claimed he wasn't dead physically, but dead "spiritually".

After that mess, he backpedaled even further, saying he was a schizo who frequently pretends to be his sister online but this one blog is his sister for totes real now you guys, and you should feel bad because the computer took his soul!

It's the wildest ride between spastics I've ever seen, honestly.

If i recall, traumatized claims to be black but refuses to share photographic evidence to back up her claim under the excuse "I'm a very private person." And won't even share a photo of her hand, private indeed.
So yes, she's very thread worthy.
