Also excuse my autism, I'm trying to find the best artifact loadout for Keqing, it seems like EM is better than atk%? With EM elemental reactions do 136% bonus damage, while atk% is capped at 50% increase. Though I wonder how much it will help in her burst that's probably faster than the effect can come into play.

Keqing's artifact load out is going to change a bit depending on your team as well since if you can't provide her with reactions she's going to not want much in the way of EM since you can't guarantee she'll have any and in that case it'll be an empty stat.

General build for her is 2 piece thundering fury, 2 piece glad. Crit dmg or crit rate hat, attack hourglass, electro cup. I personally found her very effective with TF 4 piece however, same main stats. EM isn't a bad substat.

Yeah I did a bit of experimenting and sadly maining EM on Keqing is wasted in her burst that only react on first strike, a shame.

Current party is Hu Tao, Keqing, Xingqui and Diona. So I'm very much set whatever I go against. Having a continuous healing is nice but Noelle doing full party heals was pretty good, though I feel like Diona has a better shield recharge than Noelle. But the real test is against Azhdaha that I can't kill without items.

Keq always seemed better as a phys DPS especially with how fast you can chain her charge attacks.

I know she's designed like this for a reason but I wish Yanfei could cancel out of her charge attacks like Klee, she would be so busted.

Also this island update is near-Dragonspine tier for me. Really dumb that they're removing the islands after the update though. Great quests and exploration. I was worried that just exploring and opening chests wouldn't be fun after all this time but it still is.

Genshin Impact is at its best when you're just roaming around a fresh area looking at new things and tracking down random shiny bits that don't have a waypoint marker above them.

If things play out as they are currently looking Inazuma is going to be great. I highly, highly recommend you get a cryo character leveled and ready if you don't already have one somehow. There's going to be a couple electro shield enemies being added that will be a big pain if you don't.

someone should suggest to them to make it optional like the language packs or housing load depending on device. it won't have commissions and other important stuff anyway, so might as well give people the option to still access it if they want.

Buying sets from the bird shop will get favored by 3-5 characters and just placing them in the set and talking to them gives you the reward. Really solid update all around.

the companion housing set stuff is a pain to figure out tho, and I'm probably on the upper end of grasping how even unintuitive shit works when I look around. don't even wanna imagine how lost most people are gonna be, their housing article doesn't really help or answer questions that might come up, like "does it only work once?" (since it gives primos that's probably the case), their ingame tutorial isn't even worth mentioning. the implementation could be improved as well, it's still quite clunky and feels a bit too tacked on compared to the rest, like the friendship stuff filling up. to get the most out of it you need to literally swap in companions back and forth just so they look at it once at your specifically set up stuff, which feels it goes a bit counter to what housing should be.

but eh, freemogems, so can't complain too much. still kind of a bitch move that it's tied to the amount of chars you have given their RNG nature...

I'd say the opposite, the ranking of whether you should pull is:
5 star dps (if you don't have one for the specific element),
4 star support,
5 star support,
4 star dps.

You only need to spec out your dps, while the 4 star support can heavily benefit having extra constellations that you won't have if you need to use a flowchart in the first place (ie, Bennet).
On the bottom of the totem pole is 4 star dps who aren't necessarily bad, but you might as well invest in something with bigger numbers.

Also I don't really get why the islands slowly open up. Kinda makes me want to wait with the exploration. At least it seems this time all the collectible stuff is numbered out.

I'm pretty sure there is only two tiers to the island. The day one version and the current version. Though they added a few chests a couple days ago which was kind of weird as well as the last 4 conches

Honestly, the only "must have" units I can think of are Venti who can be substituted by a C6 Sucrose to a degree (she has less CC but the EM buff she gives the group can offset that) and then Zhongli who doesn't really have anyone close to him.

DPS will see powercreep faster than the supports. The electro archon is set up to be a big time support based on the electro traveler's skills, so might be worth saving for if you aren't in love with a coming waifu. I'm not sure what exactly the new fire bow is intended to be. Her kit is kind of weird and already got nerfed. Ayaka's only value really is waifu material if she doesn't get a Ganyu style buff on release.

Also, the current thought by leakers and shit is that 1.7 will be Ayaka/Yomimya then 1.8 is going to be a rerun with Ganyu as a strong potential being run there. If it looks like Ganyu is going to end up being the rerun, and Ayaka doesn't get some crazy buff, save for Ganyu. She's so stupid broken I don't see her being crept anytime soon because she was one of those "mistake" releases where I think they underestimated the amount of damage she'd do somehow.

Impulse rolled on standard and got rewarded with C1 Rosaria, C1 Jean, and another Bell. Pretty satisfied, I heard C2 Jean is literally Eula's best support so it would be cool if I could eventually get that. Haven't used DPS Rosaria in a while but maybe I'll try her out again later, seems like a pretty cracked constellation for that.
Still not sure who I should roll for between Yomiya, Ayaka, and a potential Ganyu rerun. I guess it'll depend on which one has Ningguang on banner.
