Can Asterios still proceed with sanctions/countersuit, or does the award for fees mean the whole thing is over as far as the court is concerned?
Sanctions is it's own thing. Sanctions is proceeding as usual.

As AnOminous said, sanctions are proceeding. Today's ruling just means the lawsuit has been marked as officially over and now the anal raping can commence. Can Asterios still proceed with sanctions/countersuit, or does the award for fees mean the whole thing is over as far as the court is concerned?
Maddox sowed the wind, and now he's about to reap the whirlwind.
How long do you think before the countersuit? I need to see the figurative and literal ass rape of Maddox in a court of law
Per @asterios, Judge Ramos has just retired from the bench and the January 23rd hearing will be before a new judge who will have to be briefed on the case.

Hey hey hey
If Ramos is retired, maybe he'll feel more like discussing the case when all is said and done. I would love to get his perspective on the lolsuit some day.
I have a feeling that people will remember this case for a while, so even if it takes two years for the case to finish I think there will still be sufficient interest for a livestream with Ramos. It would be pretty improper to talk about a case that's still in progress.
Or for that matter any case where if he said anything interesting, it could be used to appeal it claiming bias or some shit.

It's why Lance Ito has never given an interview on the OJ Simpson trial, despite the fact it happened over a million years ago, and he's been retired for a few years now.
Also, as terrible as he was on that case, he learned his lesson about publicity and court cases, and more or less did a quiet, competent job the rest of his career.
