The judge retired! It wasn’t even Asterios’ fault. Can it be appealed? What caused the delay?

Ramos got cancer and retired. What caused the delay?
So even in a sanctions motion such as this, where he ends up getting off, he still acted exceptionally. Wow.Unfortunately yes. His argument was that the gap between the last trial and this was too long. It was pretty anti-climactic.
All the exceptionalism came from Landau's conduct. He was told how to act by Borrok several times, and looked just as unprepared as I heard.
He was talking to the people in the follow-up trial. He expected it to be done in 20 mins, but it went on for 20+ minutes longer.Asterios gets no justice because the judge simply doesn't like that he was assigned to the case. Recuse yourself then and have a new judge be assigned.
He talked over Greenberger and Borrok, and the latter had to reprimand him for it by saying "We have a code of conduct here in New York that you have to follow."Any examples you have of him being his usual, Landau quality self?
I mean they're not punishing him for the complaint. Just for perpetrating lies. If he went forward with the malicious prosecution, then itd be a different story. The thing with this shit is it's really hard to get sanctions against someone because the US court system very strongly believes in a right to bring forward a complaint. It's a part of the constitution. There's not much recourse for abuse of the system.
I thought the perjury might have been an issue, but maybe that's another proceeding. Not surprised at all tbh.

I've noticed it is exceedingly rare to see perjury charges brought forward. You have to really piss the government off to get them to care about shit like this. As far as two little guy squabbling, the state of New York couldn't give less of a fuck and just wants it off the docket.I thought the perjury might have been an issue, but maybe that's another proceeding.
Its a crime. Impersonating a person or a representative of a company in order to harm someone is a crime in New York. Now I really want to see the transcript for this sanctions motion. Sounds like the most bullshit cop out answer. You have a lawyer and his client submitting evidence which the client later admits in an affidavit pretty much he lied about lied about, and an attorney who did not do what was asked, but instead filed nonsense sanctions against opposing parties. Personal bias aside, what is there to argue, looks sanctionable to me? Looks like an obvious abuse of the court system.
I'm buttmad because it would have been fucking hilarious to see Maddox literally spending time in prisonI'm kinda buttmad about this, because you're not supposed to be able to lie to the court and get away with it.
he's from New York City, what do you expectGuy sounds like a complete cuck.
Just checked up on the Dickshow reddit to see if there were any other details. Apparently the judge at one point said that he cannot assume that Maddox does not want to be referred to as a she...So this guy read the Heather statement and inferred some sort of "transgenderism".
Greenberger's sanctions were about the perjury and the impersonation, and it wanted the court to recommend Maddox's actions to the District Attorney.I didn't think sanctions were about criminal charges.

Perjury was actually the first half of the hearing. Landau bumbled his way through that, and Borrock reprimanded Greenberger for referring to "Heather S." as a "he". He said something along the lines of "We have to respect a person's right to their identity."Just checked up on the Dickshow reddit to see if there were any other details. Can anyone confirm that? Guy sounds like a complete cuck.
@Sexy Times Hitler Do you recall if he said anything like that?
Why would a scam artist like Kevin Landau want clients better than Maddox? He wants small cases he knows are going to fail from fuckups who are willing to give Landau booze money for their shitty grievances.Landau's reputation is fucked due to this shit either way, he's only going to get maddox tier clients from now on with no chance of upward mobility
That blows my fucking mind! That's not how court should work. First, a Judge should finish all his cases before retiring. And second, the court system is so bloated and fuck that OFCOUSE it took a long time for the sanctions case. Judge just didnt want to deal with another judge's cases.Unfortunately yes. His argument was that the gap between the last trial and this was too long. It was pretty anti-climactic.
