Fuck this cunt of a judge. We went from the most baller based judge, Ramos, to this absolute soy drinking idiot. Based solely on that interjection on a point not in dispute or relevant, I would not put it past him to have made his sanctions decision with that """slip""" by Greenberger heavily taken into account.
Edit: Since I am now a little cheesed off, I decided to do a bit of digging into this judge. Don't know if people looked at this article, but it says alot about him imo.

Don't know about that, but he seems to have had a socialite lifestyle. There is another article from 2007 involving an Andrew Borrok, basically talking about how this socialite wanted to be a chef, and how wealthy he was. Not sure it's him, but the age/timeline fits.
This would explain ALOT about why he did this pronoun nonsense when its not even an issue. You are talking about a party in proceedings impersonating a female journalist and admitting it after lying before, and the guy is more interested in making sure pronouns are respected. Rich Dem socialite would probably be more interested in the latter than the former.

The judge asked for proof that Maddox had claimed to be Heather S prior to denying it later in the document, and one of the points of evidence was that Maddox referred in the first person as "she" during the Heather segments. The judge said that that specific point of evidence wasnt valid because "in these times, we can't be sure that the defendant wasnt simply referring to themself as such."
It felt like the judge considered the case a waste of time, which to be fair, it was, but at the same time, it sucks that Asterios will have this consequence on his side. At least Maddox is fucked for fees.

That damage is already done though. I do background checks for positions requiring high security for a living and I can promise you Asterios is already super fucked if anyone looking to hire him gives a shit about footprint one way or the other

This guy is a joke. He bought his robe. He's the son of an oligarch and became a judge because he was bored, and his prior braindead idea of becoming a celebrity chef failed. Pretty sure it's open to appeal and pretty sure it won't be appealed because Asterios is a cuck. I'm pretty sure "I'm bored. Bring me some plaything." is not a reason to deny sanctions for clearly sanctionable conduct, and if Landau's actions in this case weren't sanctionable, I'd like to know what the fuck would be.
Was also at the case, this is absolutely the case. The judge essentially told landau he was acting like a POS, then took a five minute recess. After he came back, he had a prewritten scrip that basically said “I don’t care what’s going on here, get it off my docket, everything dismissed.”
Maddox will get his eventually. Arguably, he already is with his miserable life.
Frankly, I'm more angry at the lack of professionalism in a court that deserves better, but hey, if they want to let the idle rich buy judgeships in New York, they get what they have coming.
