So I've been doing some research on Dave's spending habits, and it blows my mind where the fuck he gets the money.

To start with, he regularly goes to Anthrocon, aka the biggest furry con in the world, and one of the most expensive to attend. The cheapest hotel that's close by is $150 a night, and with him being in the artist alley (which means you need to be up early to get a table), he needs to be as close to the convention as possible. Plus there's the registration, and how much he wasted with getting his stuff printed. Plus, he often buys a lot of furry art, including stuff from the art show (which can easily reach over $100 for an original or large print).

Keep in mind this is all before he became a manager, and was making standard mcdonalds wages (approx. $7.75 an hour).

Now onto the con he went to so he could fuck his pizza faced boyfriend. It was in Vermont, and I'm quite sure he had to take a greyhound bus to get to it. The fare from Johnstown, PA to Colchester, VT is $164.00 for a round trip, and the hotel there is $125 a night.

I understand with cons people usually split the room costs with roommates, but even with them Dave had to be spending between $125- $150 just to stay in a hotel room.

Printing art doesn't really cost that much money. Plus, I imagine all of his stock is leftover from other cons because who in their right mind would buy those ugly monstrosities.

And honestly sharing hotels can usually put the price down to about 50-70 per person and pre-reg for Anthrocon is only $55, but oftentimes cons have earlier pre-reg that are cheaper. (That's actually one of the cheaper con prices I've seen.)

Does Dave even have a job though?

When most prints in AAs sell for around 10-15, you really wouldn't be making much if you made a print for that much.

At least three a year that I know of. It's not as many as say Todokaras goes to, but for someone who hopefully has to pay child support and doesn't make much to begin with, it still doesn't feel right to me.

there's actually a lot of ways to save money at cons, if you have friends to room with. it's likely that to rent a hotel dave would had to have split the hotel room price between the friend group which makes it much more affordable.

then there's the actual tickets for the con, which are a bit more complicated. there's a trick that some people use- basically, you shell out some money to buy a single weekend pass, which typically comes in the form of a badge rather than being a wristband(this varies from con to con though) and using the badge they can all take turns going inside the convention. once again i'm not sure if anthrocon has badges or wristbands but it's quite possible that dave did that. or maybe he just leeched off of a friend who is somehow even more retarded than he is.

Dave keeps focusing on the phrase "his step daughter". Smidge is the ex's bio daughter. I think the identified victim who the court proceedings relate to is a different child from Smidge. That said, all the comments above about that not necessarily meaning Smidge hasn't been hurt still stand.

Regarding comments above, the number of people who will stand by a partner accused (and indeed, convicted) of sexually abusing their children is incomprehensible until you see it in action. And I don't just mean the "s/he never did it! s/he was falsely accused!" shit either. I mean people who KNOW AND ACCEPT that their partner hurt their children but still stick by them.

@Fareal that's what I thought initially, but in the post where he says he's deleting the pictures he specifically says "the asshole who raped my baby". The ex did apparently have a step-daughter with another woman so it might be that kid, so either the ex molested both children or Dave is making another family's tragedy all about him.

I was looking through Daves blog to see if I could find any posts that give insight on how exactly he lost custody of Smidge, and I came across two that were particularly interesting.

One reveals that he has been in prison before

Second, there was a post about how he was barred from getting pain meds (mostly out of his own stupidity). Here's the rest of the post for reference (currently unable to archive, I'll get to it as soon as possible)

Do you guys think being in prison and being suspected of drug seeking behavior are related? Either way, I'm pretty sure most of his ~chronic pain~ is caused by him being a fat fuck.
