"Girly" Video Games -

Found it on the side of the road? That's not the beginning of a creepypasta or anything.

But anywho. I never had a DS growing up (have they made any tama games for consoles?) so I didn't play this but I had three different generation of tamagotchi toys over the years and connected them to the online tamagotchi world site.

Speaking of virtual pet sites. Are those girly? I only ever knew girls who played them (especially the horse ones). I did play Neopets, Rescreatu, and once had a webkinz, but I really preferred Marapets. There was one I just can't remember the name of now, where it was more like you had an avatar of you and lived in a cartoon city. Might have started with an F, or sounded like a cereal company name. It's so vague it's hard to remember.

Not that. When I got the notification I went to work trying to figure out what that site was, while not really sure what to google. It was Millsberry. It was made by General Mills, so the cereal relationship was accurate. Not the best game, but you could have a house, pet, play mini games and explore a neighborhood map. Apparently it closed in 2010, I probably played it around 2007-08.

Wow, you just unlocked a memory hidden deep in me. I haven't played the games you listed, but I was obsessed with this game on the PC. It's actually a learning game. Blossom taught grammar, Buttercup taught fractions, and Bubbles taught Spanish.

Fuck now you guys made me dig in my brain, I remember I used to have a PS2 and I had this game:
66291-Powerpuff_Girls_Relish_Rampage-1.jpg (ignore the cover it definitely had a PS2 port)
But I was really shit at games, so I couldn't even get past the first area and I avoided bosses as much as possible because I didn't like to fight enemies. So I'd sit in the mall area of the town and hit the NPCs, especially the ladies with the fat asses cause they looked goofy as fuck running. Either that or kid me was just horny and wanted to watch some ass cheeks clap, 'coulda been both.
Also for some reason I was fucking scared shitless by the Gangreen Gang in-game, even though watching them on TV was fine? I don't know, maybe my monkey senses found their polygons threatening.

I remember renting this years ago as a kid when Blockbuster was a thing. Far as I could remember, it was a short and somewhat forgettable game though oddly enough I can still remember what the plot was and how it ended.

I only had a Gameboy Advance SP and no earlier consoles, but I loved playing Cartoon Network's online games. They had a Powerpuff Girls pillow fight game and a snowboarding game. I was crap at them but loved the designs.

A while later there was also a fun game themed after My Gym Partner is a Monkey where you had to go around the school and collect something or other (I think it was lunchboxes). I spent hours and hours on that game.

While only a minigamd to the full game of Yakuza 0 & Kiwami 2; the hostess club game, where you get to play pretty princess dress up is something I enjoy unironically.
Yeah, it's like a manage sim; you must know what the client needs & using that special power to keep up all the ladies.
Fucking grind, it takes me like 35 hours to finish that but the reward was godlike with Majima, unlocking his true power as the Mad Dog of Shimano.

I remember those. I also played their old Hamtaro and Sailor Moon games.

Oh shiiiit!

Don't know if anyone posted this already, but:
Rockett%27s_New_School.jpg

This is what I grew up with. It was a visual novel game made by Purple Moon. It was charming, I have to say. The characters just talked like normal kids for the most part, and the art was cool. The only problem was there weren't any mini-games or really... any gameplay. Sometimes a camera icon would flash up and you'd take a snapshot of the current scene. And then you could pause the game at any time and go rifle through the characters' lockers-- kind of cool. That part of the game was what got me interested in the creation of sound effects. Check it out:

I didn't realize until later, but the company came under fire because it portrayed racial stereotypes of certain characters (i.e. Japanese girl who plays chess and is honor student, black girl who's sassy and big into African culture). Made me laugh.

Anyone play Rockett's New School or Secret Paths in the Forest? As a kid who grew up on a Mac, game options were painfully limited so those two games were basically my entire childhood.
HELL YEAH SON
I had Secret Paths as well! I found that to be less fun than the Rockett series. But Secret Paths was cool, because looking back on it as a concept artist, I realize now that their art style was all about photobashing.

I only had a gamecube growing up, and my family had mac computers so I was always sad that there weren't as many pc games I could play until I bought my own in high school. Sure, I played a bunch of actually fun edutainment games like Amazon Trail, Pajama Sam, and a series of interactive book games that I don't remember what company made them.

But I played SO many games on websites like Disney, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon. I hated barbies but I also played those games too, and American Girl. When I wasn't on Neopets, of course. I moved onto flash games and free online rpgs later but I had a great time with kids games growing up.

Neopets, American Girl, and Cartoon Network games were little fifth grade Polexia's life.
Did you play virtual puppy/kitten on AG?

I'm honestly having trouble thinking of stereotypical girly games I played as a child because most of the ones I knew about were low-quality trash that nobody wanted and I played mostly things like Spyro 2 and Klonoa.

I guess the Hamtaro GB/A games count.
