Just for the record, I think that my top 5 are all good movies, but Empire may be my favorite movie of all time. Phantom Menace is a really bad movie, but it has some nice scenery and special effects (and some that aren't so nice and have aged poorly), and it is fun to laugh at with friends. However, Attack of the Clones is just boring and bad, to this day it is the only piece of Star Wars media (games, comics, movies, ect.) that I've had no fun with whatsoever, it isn't even fun to make fun of because it is just boring.

TFA over ANH is very much a personal stylistic choice. I tend to like the initial film/game in a new series less than its sequel, because it often feels as though the sequel has a much more firmly established lore to work with. Initial forays tend to have the largest number of things in them that end up retconned, for example. Mass Effect is another good example of this.

If I was going by saber fights, Revenge's climatic duel would win it the top spot. Sadly, the rest of the film is weak.

When I was growing up, I would have said Return of the Jedi because I thought it was the coolest and was the most engaging to see a son redeem his father, I still love it but I'm able to see why people aren't fans of the Ewoks. This isn't me being snarky about your personal choices at all, I'm just surprised people put it higher than most of the others. I feel @Whatisgoingon said it best and I kinda regret saying list them in order, but I think that's because we automatically assume that the anything below the third item is nessisarily bad. I mean don't get me wrong though, I think the prequels are terrible.

TFA suffers from the barrage of call-backs and references, plus the pacing shitting itself in the last half hour, but it's overall a very enjoyable movie.

Revenge of the Sith and the Phantom Menace are both crap, but I respect the work that went into the SFX of both (as CGI glutted as Sith was), and there were occasionally scenes that sorta had charm or something interesting on screen.

Attack of the Clones was boring. I honestly, honestly can't remember shit about Attack of the Clones. It's by far the nadir of the movies, excluding the made-for-TV Ewok movies.

In all honesty, I don't want to rank the Prequels for two reasons:

1) If I put them on this list, it implies that I think they're only slightly worse than the preceding four, when I actually think they're many magnitudes worse.

2) I honestly couldn't rank them. They all have elements that are so awful that trying to decide which one is better/worse is an impossible task because I'd dread having to sit through any one of them for different reasons.
