Containment Giving Chris Money Debate Thread - it's about ethics in giving exceptional individuals money

I honestly cannot think of a single justification for giving money to Chris (except post-fire which I think is the one real exception).

We have cows like ADF who can still produce content while homeless so it's not like I can even justify it in the selfish "I just want to keep whatever shitty content he shits out now flowing" way.

Really the question of giving Chris cash at this point should be, "would I rather give Chris hideously overpriced legos to dick around with for maybe 10 minutes, or give a genuinely poverty-stricken man a chance to eat for today?" If you have the mental capacity to even read this, then the answer to that question should be blatantly obvious.

Look, every US citizen gives Chris money in the form of SSDI, I've paid more in federal taxes over my lifetime than that Canadian youtuber (who I won't tag because he doesn't even come here anymore) gave Chris that one time. Chris isn't living the glamorous lifestyle on the throne of pity and the generous but naive hearts. He lives in Shitball USA with what's left of his mother and doesn't even eat nice things like bananas and spaghetti, and he wouldn't be that well off even if he was the best money manger. He's barely getting by, his fault or not, so don't get that salty over some mastermind troll tossing him a Jackson or a Hamilton.

Not my business to try to dictate what others do with their money. However, it is disheartening (if unsurprising) to realize that the promise of new Sonichu content from last year was all for naught. I personally don't believe Chris deserves money for nothing.

A lot of my enjoyment of Chris comes from watching him wallow in poverty and suffer the consequences of his mistakes and spending habits.

No single I HAVE AUTISM PLEASE LAUGH AT ME had enough cash to stop the eventual meltdown of Chris' debt and he sees his free donations as an extension of what he can buy toys and games with, nothing sustainable and nothing that will bring him out of debt.

When it all catches up with him, that'll be the best content for me. You're only delaying the delicious lolcow tard cum that's going to get squeezed out when the pressure is put on.

Your money is your business, but that doesn't excuse you from judgement or criticism if you spend it on something stupid. Giving money to Chris is certainly something stupid; the one exception being that care package sent to him after the house fire. Buying his Sonichu shit is also pretty autistic, but at least to an extent he's actually earned whatever meager return he makes on a converted Sonic amiibo.

Personally, I don't think giving money to Chris changes his behavior in any drastic way. Yeah he starts ebegging a little more, but he's still gonna do weird stuff in the background which will eventually come to light. He's always been rather entitled and his only source of income is Uncle Sam's good graces.

My real beef with giving Chris money is people who think it's some kind of trolling. Like "lol I just gave that exceptional guy thirty bucks I'm such a troll". Meanwhile Chris already bought more Legos with that money before the "troll" even finished bragging.

I think alot has to do with pride, lots of people struggle every day, including people on this site, then they see this manchild with no shame and pride beg for toy money and he gets it! Now they won't stoop to chris's level because they were raised better, that a man takes care of himself and his own (or woman) He doesn't live on the handouts of others..that's like one of the foundations of this country , we dont want a welfare state. But I digress, people just want to see people get what's coming to them, to see that karma works.

My view on the matter is that there are people out there who are better, more deserving, more hard-working, more needy and more grateful than Chris.

For that reason he will never get a dime of my money.

However if you want to sink your money into him out of pity, go right ahead: but you would do better flushing the money down the shitter for all the good it'll do anybody.
