It's people's money. Who gives a fuck what they do with it?

If anything the worst thing you could say about people who give Chris money is that they are more financially irresponsible than the autist they finance, and the people who get legitimately mad at Chris getting free money are probably the people who are inexplicably in a worse financial dilemma than the autist they are supposedly laughing at.

In short, the entire "debate" on giving Chris money only serves to show that Chris is somehow the least autistic party in this entire maelstrom of idiocy, which in itself is an amazing achievement.

We have cows like ADF who can still produce content while homeless so it's not like I can even justify it in the selfish "I just want to keep whatever shitty content he shits out now flowing" way.
If this is the kind of "content" we get from people giving Chris money, soon his videos will just be lying in bed, having shit himself hours ago, rolling around in a pile of it and making grunting sounds for 10 seconds.

The main reason people don't like the fact that Chris gets money is because it lowers the quality of his content. I understand that his content is essentially the reason why this forum exists, but it still seems pretty petty. Chris doesn't exist solely for our entertainment.

That's part of my point (or at least it was supposed to be). The "content" itself isn't even worth it assuming you're the kind of idiot who even considered doing it in the first place.

Not like it matters anyways since these people are powered by "nostalgia" for a Chris that won't come ever truly come back.

The inner conflict for me is that intentionally or not Chris has given us years of entertainment and hundreds of hours of content. While his current situation I have little sympathy towards because Chris's own actions and him breaking the law led to his predicament, I do feel like Chris deserves some sort of compensation for all the entertainment he has given us. Unfortunately, the way he asks for this compensation is incredibly dubious and makes it incredibly difficult to sympathize with him at all. If he was actually producing quality videos and vlogs and consistently making Sonichu I would have very little problem donating monthly towards a patreon, and I think many people would feel the same. Chris is still potentially sitting on a gold mine, which is another reason why his inaction gives me little reason or desire to support him and his "endeavors."
This is mostly how I feel. Chris being Chris, of course his sense of entitlement makes him not gracious about receiving money or being paid for his work. I've never given him anything or bought anything from him, but I might have bought a one-time medallion as a novelty item back when it just started, if it had been like 5$ or something. I see him making money as payment for the years of entertainment, plus so many people out there make a lot of money just by creating interesting content, YT channels and stuff. He's kind of a weird extension of that, even if I doubt he realizes he's the butt of the joke for his "generous fans" and that people aren't buying this stuff don't do it because it's nice or something they actually want.

I've been out of the loop so I don't know if he still has people like Kengle around him? That's a whole different story, though.

Here is my take:

Most of the time, Chris does not seem to be that desperate. Not giving him money does not put him or Barb at risk of homelessness, going hungry, or other serious consequences. By giving him money, you make life a little easier for him. Paying bills, buying food, etc. becomes a little easier, and he has a little more spending money for things he likes. It's possible that some time he will be desperate, but he has created himself a bit of a boy-who-cried-wolf scenario, and he won't be able to credibly convince people that he is in dire straits.

So there is certainly no moral imperative to give him money. I don't. If you don't, there is no need to feel the least bit guilty about it.

On the other hand, I don't think people should be chastised for doing it, if they choose to.

Firstly, he doesn't spend it on things that are harmful to himself or others. With other people, I suppose you could make the argument that "donations" might enable them not to work and create a circle of dependency. But that doesn't really apply to Chris. We have seen for a decade that without the money, he would just rely solely on the tugboat, and have a little less spending money. So I think it is hard to make an argument you are doing harm by sending him money.

The other argument is that he doesn't "deserve" it. There is some validity to it, but I don't think people have an obligation to make sure their money ends up in the most "derserving" hands. Before spending or giving money, I don't have to do a full background to make sure that the person, company, or charity getting the money is absolutely the best person to get that money.

I guess I am mostly making a none-of-your-business argument. If some weirdo wants to give Chris $20, I don't see that that transaction involves anyone else in a meaningful way. If you want to make jokes and say "hurr, hurr, you're as dumb as Chris", fine, laughing at people is what we do here. But if you are seriously offended by it, I think you need to rethink things.

Do what you want with your money. I won't judge. Really, I'm a horrible spendthrift myself.

Still, I'd rather waste my money on my own silly toys (guns, watches, motorbikes) than give fatty the privilege of wasting my money for me on his faggy and aspergian toys. I'd rather pitch my money into a fireplace like Cole than give it to fatty tho.

So a new user here by the name of @s0meguy just sent me this PM.

The guy specifically said he wanted it to be private, so you post it in the thread? Kind of a dick move.
As others have said, people have tried to get Chris taken off the tugboat, and it's never worked. If this were the golden time where it actually did? No, I don't think people would be mad at s0meguy. It would simply be Chris getting just desserts for years of being a lazy drain on humanity.

My take on the debate.
-Giving Chris money after the fire was a classy move by the community.

-From my understanding, Dstecks gave Chris money out of a combination of Troll remorse and gratitude that making fun of Chris gave him a moderately successful Youtube presence. Despite what people say, I can't actually fault him for any of this. It's unfortunate that it's led to this annoying e-begging saga, but I can't say I really blame Dstecks. Also, if Dstecks made any sort of money off of those videos, (Did he? I don't know.) I could see him feeling guilty for making money off of mocking an autistic man, and giving Chris money probably cleared that guilt. Again, I can't fault him for that.

-Buying stuff from Chris... eh. When he was fulfilling orders, it was okay. I thought about buying something just for a laugh, but I realized I'd have to explain to people where it came from, and then I thought about where this stuff is being made, and no, I don't want that crap (possibly literally) in my house. When it became clear that ordering something was like buying an autistic lottery ticket, it became dumb.

-Giving Chris money now is stupid. I'm not going to waste time getting angry at people about it, I'm just going to shake my head at them. Chris has proven that he doesn't appreciate it, he can't handle it responsibly, and he doesn't really need it. Giving Chris money means you either have more money than sense, or you get some kind of weird pleasure out of seeing people here get annoyed by it.

I'm not going to protect people who try to I HAVE AUTISM PLEASE LAUGH AT ME Chris. If he had said he was thinking about it I would have kept it private and tried to talk him out of it, but he already sent the information to the government.

As probably mentioned multiple times before - it's their money, if they want to give it to OPL to burn on frivolous shit then that's their choice.

But there's something to be said about how rapidly Chris has become lethargic after the Etsy shop closure killed whatever degree of extra money idiots were sending him. He's gotten money just by blabbing at a camera - not even getting out of bed now - and he gets money. He doesn't need ambition, so he doesn't have ambition as a result - sure, he lazily demands SEGA pretty much appoint him as the head of a Sonichu franchise, but he won't even fucking draw it anymore. He just expects to be given that dream like always but now without even developing the shit he's devoted almost his entire life to (which is really pathetic and sad).

He lives a life of surplus toys and free income untouchable by the gargantuan debt he chronically will never pay off, but all he can do is try and ask for more, more, more, for it is a hollow life of a childish hoarder forever trying to relive his high school years when he had the closest thing to a social life and really, acceptance (which as we can guess was actually tolerance pushed to breaking point on the part of every single other person, student and staff, at MHS during those four years of hell).

He begs because idiots will give him money, encouraging the cycle ala 'Give a Mouse a Cookie' verbatim, because its the only thing he knows how to do anymore, reinforced by his entire life of being coddled by incapable parents and not having the interactions as a child where we all learn we're not special fucking snowflakes in the bigger picture. He can't handle not getting his way - proven every single time somebody stood up and refused to take his bullshit any longer.

Which is why this begging phase is going to spell inevitable doom. We can't stop morons giving another moron their money, but there's only two possible outcomes as a result:

1. Chris sets himself up to fail to get some expensive crap he wants, as he wrongfully assumes he can beg for the amount he can't/won't put in himself. We know he bought that PS4 but only after months of trying to beg people into giving him a free Destiny PS4 bundle. But he also takes things for granted - he asks for an amount in a small denomination, he'll get most likely significantly more because of internet dumbfucks. But this can't possibly be an equal ratio, meaning even if people give him a lot of money, it eventually will not be enough combined with whatever funds/credit Chris has to get the one item, and he'll become desperate since he hastily posted that begging video for what we guess was Pokemon GO e-money.

2. Human stupidity is infinite but the attention span not so much. If this trend continues, all Chris is going to do is make begging videos from now on and that shit is boring - even the worst I HAVE AUTISM PLEASE LAUGH AT ME can't possibly be that fucking stupid to realize giving him money is actually having the opposite effect and rapidly drying up new content to laugh at. The money pool will dwindle, which in essence leads right into the first point of how Chris will not raise enough panhandle money and thus set himself up for failure as usual.

The real question, then, is what he will do when even begging online can not ultimately fuel his autistic hoarding?
