Is this year supposed to be the apocalypse of all the "iconic" assets due to html5?

I thought it had been nuked already.

The fandom has already found ways to get the old assets to work on the new HTML5-only post-rebrand site. GoAnimate4Schools is going down in flames, but these kiddos have either sperged out about it or used browser extensions such as Requestly and Tampermonkey to force the old stuff into the code of the new video maker to get it to work.

Amazing the level of ingenuity they had to go through at all just so they could have it the way they want it.

Indeed - it's extremely ironic that a fandom known for being immensely lazy is prepared to jump through so many hoops to get their precious designs back.

One thing's for certain though, these channels appear to be surprisingly profitable, in spite of YouTube's aggressive stance against smaller YouTube channels. GoAnimate channels tend to have a skewed views to subscribers ratio, so those lucky enough to go above 1,000 subscribers could earn a reasonably decent income from making uninspired content that takes mere hours (if not minutes) to pump out onto their channels.

Damn. Some people just know how to play the system.

Makes you wonder how many of these people make these exceptional stuff ironically just for those sweet shekels.

There is an 'ironic' side of the fanbase, so to speak, who try (try being the operative word) to satirise cliches used by the rest of the fandom, but most of the time their videos still come off as uninspired.

Just out of curiosity, what are your analytics looking like since the channel is now a year old.

More or less the same - if anything, one thing I've learned is that the audiences for these videos are notoriously quick to bore. If you don't publish material for them, then the kiddos quickly disappear, only to quickly come charging back the moment something new is put on their plate. This should explain why these channels have to pump out material on such a regular basis - it's simply a case of trying to hold on to the people who find it interesting, I suppose.
