I actually wonder what Mallory’s friends from the pre-Joe era think at this point in the trainwreck. I know publicly only “stunning brave” cheerleading is allowed but privately I think distancing themselves and real concern prevail, but the woke politics ensues they keep their mouths fearfully shut.
A few months ago Joe thought he was winning the trans culture war. Then Keira Bell and Sweden happened. Now Laurel Hubbard is drawing lots of attention to the athletic thing. The new state legislation against transing kids woke some people up. The Human Rights Campaign is calling people like crazy trying to get support because quite frankly I think people are squeamish about kids’ health and women’s sport being infiltrated by the trans agenda.
I think those two issues (transing kids and women’s sports) will singlehandedly peak a lot of lib-leaning normies who generally don’t care what bathrooms people use. Because two groups of people (GNC kids and female athletes) could be disadvantaged by following the party line unquestioningly, which goes against the “live and let live, I don’t care what consenting adults do with their bodies as long as they don’t hurt anyone” liberal ethos.
OT, but even recently the tone seems to have shifted. Previously, if you looked at facebook comments under articles about trans shit (I know, I know, facebook, but still) it'd be trolls and GCs getting set upon by normie libs rising up to defend The Transes. The recent Hubbard stuff though has had almost none of that, and a lot of "I fully support trans women, they're women, etc., but..." - plus, yes, some chiding of those comments for their eevol transfobeea, but the balance seems to have shifted noticably re: the opinion of the "do no harm" moderates/centrists/liberals/normies etc.
Yup, at least in America I think most normies could get on board with the trans agenda when the narrative was that they were regular people who were “born in the wrong bodies”, who just wanted to live their lives in peace. But the narrative shifted once they got a little power and now their goals are to abolish gender entirely and tell women who fought hard for equal rights to stfu because they have “cis privilege.” You can see it happening in real time with people like Joe - the further they push the dialogue toward misogyny and AGP sperging, the quieter his former allies become. No one needs to bother peaking normies, troons are doing it for themselves lately.
Mary Daly also loved Wittig and cited her often but something tells me that Joe believes he knows more about feminism than Mary Daly. I love how Joe clearly realized that he needed to read feminism to keep up with Jane Clare Jones and Kathleen Stock and is trying to debate on the subject while having barely skimmed the surface of academic feminism. Wittig was a footnote in the movement and he’s out here trying to cite her as if she was a major mover because he read one of her novels once.
I tend to believe both are true - that Mallory’s family are weird fundie pedo enablers, and that Joe used the opportunity to further isolate and brainwash her. Based on the church’s statements I highly doubt Joe manufactured the allegations, but I do think he took advantage of an already bad situation.

It certainly is not the correct audience, but Joe seems to think his book is meant to titillate bored housewives. I think he just likes fantasizing that normal women will be captivated by him, but you're right; it is clearly for intelleckshual kweers only.
I've said it time and time again - the TRAs biggest enemies aren't TERFs because a lot of TERFs tend to be kind of mental and people will just tune them out. It's the troons and the fact that a lot of them fall into cluster b personality disorders. They're not going to get a majority on board that it's a good idea to cut off autistic girls' breast off and flip dicks inside out. Even their main mascot's facade for kids transitioning is rapidly crumbling and turning into a horror show each progressing day. Then add AGPs natural creepiness on top of it and their inability to read the room and you've got a whole bunch of people "peak trans'd".
I mean Solanis was a member of the Factory scene until she became too dangerously insane for even Warhol’s menagerie of freaks. Valerie was the extreme radical feminist dyke pet. Warhol had plenty of drag queens, gay men, hustlers and straight women - Solanis filled a void in his weird people collecting.
Where are all the other pedos they enable then? I think Joe and Mallory exploited a psychological problem the brother was struggling with for their own nefarious means. There are no better agreed upon evil for the SM world than the pedo and rapist labels. The daring duo certainly milked it for substack subs and attention too.
He cannot possibly be this stupid, can he? Women are not mad about losing heroes who are cis, they are mad about losing heroes who are women. If you take every GNC heroine and declare them a man because they did anything other than sexily flutter their eyelashes and retire on a fainting couch, you are reducing the pool of 'real women' until it includes only people who fit a bunch of stereotypes that women are very tired of. And unlike for Joe, those stereotypes are not a kinky game that you can play when you feel like it and then throw off. They are something women live with every day.

This take really made me mad. I've got a hair trigger lately about people forcing questions like this. "Why do you need that?" "What's wrong with you that you care about being cis?" Women have smaller, often weaker bodies of the two sexes. This fact has been used to invent all sorts of things about women throughout history, all the way up to scientific reasoning post-Enlightenment assuring us that our brains weren't good enough to follow the arguments of men. "Gender roles" have nothing to do with that, and you're a fucking idiot if you think otherwise.
Open your mind, Joe. What would it mean ... for you to shut the fuck up for once?
Whimper and fade away. They'll start living apart from each other and they won't say anything, and they'll mention each other less and less. Joe will continue being a narcissistic wannabe 25-year-old hipster thot and Mallory will probably get another steady writing gig but never reach the heights of admiration and critical acclaim she previously enjoyed.
