Oh I'm a fan. I'm also in favor of the idea that life is meaningless and that whatever happens the world will just end by the sun going super nova.

The sun won't go supernova, it'll just expand into a red giant, swallow everything up to venus (and probably earth) and then release it's outer shell, which is called nova, and then become a white dwarf.
