My favorite genre of film is probably Dark Comedy, the films where you're supposed to laugh at horrible shit or feel awkward for laughing at the subject matter

Some examples would be:

Happiness 1998:
A film where three sisters are each trying to find happiness in their lives and the fucked up ways the people around them achieve said happiness.

Dr. Strangelove: Where the US Accidentally causes Armageddon and the nuclear arms race is shown as a dick measuring contest between the US and USSR

Four Lions: A group of muslims want to be terrorists, problem is, they're about as smart as the Three Stooges. The Dr. Strangelove of the 2010s.

Super (2010): Dude who has visions of god tries to save his wife from a drug dealer by dressing up as a superhero. (warning, the trailer makes it look like a quirky indie comedy but it's really a dark comedy/drama, so here's a scene of The Crimson Bolt just beating the shit out of criminals)

The Idiots: Guys who pretend to act retard3d just to see what they can get away with.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Again, I'm not talking about African American Comedies.

Do horror/comedies count?

Evil Dead 2 If so. Also Black Sheep I guess. If not, then I've got nothing.
yeah they can count, but not all horror comedies are dark comedies. I'd say Black Sheep counts

Even Dwarfs Started Small.

A penal colony of dwarfs (or perhaps the world is populated entirely by dwarfs?) stage a rebellion in a penal colony. Described by its director Werner Herzog as "The darkest comedy you could imagine." A genuine masterpiece and one of Herzog's absolute best films.

Well I love Herzog and that sounds intriguing so I'll check that out

It’s not the best film out there but Observe and Report is a pretty underrated dark comedy
you know I agree.

I got that film for $4 at a big lots and was pleasantly surprised, it was like a funny version of taxi driver
