I think the reason Sargon and friends are under fire is because he proudly displays his kekistani lineage. There isn't much of a connection with him and games other than the gamers rise up thing. Besides, going after yandev would just have it blown off as another case of violent video game makes kids violent.

I've finished an in-depth look Greg's Instagram accounts. For this I won't be including much content from these accounts (loganzui, nationalist_pope_backup, weebs_with_memes, & weebs_with_memes_backup) since the content doesn't really show much or is too hard to determine the poster since two of these are shared accounts. For this I'm going to split this into different parts and spoiler each part, the first 3 parts are the most important and the final 3 just my speculation, notes and random funny posts:
The nationalist_pope account on the surface is your typical based shitposter account. Approximately 70% of the posts are non-political with the remaining 30% having some kind of political tone. Around 17% of posts had anime pictures or anime related content. He claims he stole the account from someone but never reveals who it was he took the account from. Posts are consistent sometimes multiple in a day with some days without.
Posts of note:
Unlike the nationalist_pope account the Ryujibu account had barely any political posts with 95% of posts being apolitical. Well over half the posts are of anime pictures or anime related content. Some days he would post many times, usually on days where he stated he was depressed or in a bad mood. He was much more open with this account, he discussed his feelings a lot with references to drug and alcohol use along with his problems in school

Among all his accounts Greg followed over 500 users, some of the accounts appear to be alts and backups. The Ryujibu account followed more anime accounts and accounts that could be classified as 'degenerate' than the nationalist_pope account. No family members as far as I can tell were being followed on the Ryujibu account. The old weebs_with_memes accounts I found through an Instagram account that was made for what I think is their family dog called @bluethedoggo. He also followed the accounts of his accomplices @brianporras & @dizzlist on his personal account along with his mother @gcleavmom. He also was following @marc_nusser who he did videos with in the previous post I made but they seemed to have some kind of falling out because Greg stopped being featured in videos and was replaced by some other fat kid.

I highly doubt that the bad grade is the real reason for the murder. The fact he posted the bad grade meme after he killed his mom gives me doubt, I think there's a few different possibilities:
1) His mom caught him doing something extremely degenerate and killed her to make sure it didn't get out (or possibly a 'coming out of the closet' gone wrong)
2) He had been planning this for a long time and there's a deeper reason for the murder
The killer had been caught with 'contraband' before and seemed to get into trouble on a regular basis according to his posts. He may have had some hard drugs on him that his mom found or he could have been dealing them.
There are possible connections to Shadman and the loli community, nothing concrete but he does bring up being a 'feral fag' which is a group that followed someone called 'Feralkun' which has some kind of connection to Shadbase, which could imply that our killer is into loli or worse is a pedo himself. Perhaps his mother caught him with loli or CP and he snapped and killed her before she was able to inform anyone, the killer had nearly an entire day to destroy or delete any evidence he had on his PC which could explain why we haven't found any degenerate accounts on DeviantArt or Tumblr.
A common theme of his posts on Ryujibu is 'I have no friends' yet somehow he was able to convince two classmates to help him stage a burglary and dispose of a body? He seemed to have a lot of IRL friends yet he appears to value online friends more with barely any posts on his personal Instagram and nearly all his posts on his 'hidden' Ryujibu account. I think lost the plot and felt his family and in particular his mother were holding him back, to him his online friends became more important than his IRL ones and his family even.
The boy is clearly messed up, where the blame lies is on him and him alone. I do think society and internet culture in part may have had some influence in his actions and firmly believe kids shouldn't be force fed political opinions or allowed to develop degenerate behaviors but I won't go into a rant about it. If he didn't kill his mother I believe he would have done even worse, perhaps even shoot up his school.
