Anyone playing the newest music album with a video game attached? It follows Sol Baddude as he and various other main characters bullshit their way through 1 on 1 fist fights.

Of course every song is top tier so order doesn't really matter.

As for DLC, I think you can see who'll be in the game in the future if you go to the glossery. Any character that has a full bio with birthdates, hobbies, ect I think will be coming back. Note dead characters like Kliff and ones that'd cause drama like Bridget lack full profiles.

Story mode was pretty good. Was worried the series was getting dangerously close to Blazblue techno jargon bullshit starting with the Xrd games but Strive was a pretty straight forward. When the action scenes kick in, thats when Arc really uh... strives... in showing off their graphical technique (I-No vs. Nagoriyuki).

I expect at least 3 dlc seasons with how well this game sold. The first season already got leaked apparently too although I expect season 2 will be the heavy hitters to get a 2022 sales boost.

Crossing fingers my boi Venom is back in season 2 at least. Also hoping for some rival music too for Sol/Ky and the assassins.

Anyways, pretty hooked to Strive, more than the Xrd series. GG is one of the few series from my childhood that hasn't been dragged through the coals yet (I asked for Metal Gear and got Guilty Gear for christmas back in 98 lol.) Got me real into heavy metal and rock since I was an impressionable 10 year old when the series appeared. Always loved the world and lore (recommend the manga Bastard!! which is a heavy metal future fantasy thing that heavily inspired GG) and Daisuke's art and music.

Lobby is kinda ass but managable afterawhile. Just wish I could unlock songs manually instead of depending on a rng.

Been liking Strive a lot too as it stands I think most people will be added the story is not technically over either its just Sols has ended. The first DLC will have 3 newcomers and the rest will be returning (Aria Jack-O and Jam apparently). Season 2 is where I think they drop the big ones like Baiken for the waifufags, Slayer, Venom. If they fix the lobby situation soon this game will be great.

I am really conflicted on Strives story I feel it was a fine ending for Sol but also kind of rushed? I hope to get some side stories later at least like Xrd had.

He has absolutely no story presence and instead has a little blurb in the ingame Wikipedia, it's a shame but they may do dlc stories

DLC will have some more story stuff down the road to wrap up everyone elses storyline. Kind of like that the storymodes just focus on the chacaters that are important to whats going on rather than trying to shoehorn everyone in.

Faust has gotten weirder because he's trying to reach his old mindset before he was tricked into thinking he killed his patient, but it's causing his psyche to go haywire.

I expect Goldlewis will be the July fighter becasue its Americas month and he seems like the most American in Guilty Gear ever. I really wonder how his theme will be though.

Personally found the story a bit underwhelming so hopefully the DLC will fix that. Overall I definitely prefer Xrd's OST too; the vocals for a lot of Strive's songs didn't really do it for it me.

Game was pretty fun. I'm surprised I enjoyed it despite how much of a departure it was from previous titles. But Nagoriyuki is a fucking pain in the ass to manage with his blood gauge.
