Habbo is basically a site where you can chat with people, you may know this site from the "pool is closed due to aids" raids, but that's long gone now and I doubt anything in that scale will happen again.
So what makes Habbo different from all the chatting games? I've played Habbo since 2008 and I am well aware of their sub-cultures, one sub-culture lies in the [Friends] category of the navigator, I refer to them as the "18+ people", basically they are a bunch of female and male teenagers, who mostly spring from Tumblr, talking about stuff.
Now here's where it gets interested, most 18+ people know each other, and they have this interconnected network of friends, most of them know each other's Skypes, Kiks, etc., Some people "expose" these people, as in, they get nudes of females, and they spread it throughout these rooms, mostly with Instagram pages and such.
There have been millions of Habbo sites dedicated to exposing people. One person even got the personal information of another and sent him to jail.
There are also "fansites," which are basically sites created by users to discuss Habbo. There is an in-game forum, but these are for the individual groups. The most popular (in my opinion) is HFFM.
Its forum can be found here: http://www.hffmforum.co.uk/
There are many different other subcultures, each, interestingly, with its own ideals, culture and whatnot, however, the [Friends] category is the most interesting.
