Kwanzaa is now far bigger than its founder. But I can't forget that Ron Karenga helped murder Black Panther militants and his other heinous crimes.
Back in the day, Karenga headed up an organization called US. As a tool of [URL='https://vault.fbi.gov/cointel-pro']COINTELPRO, [/URL]the federal [URL='https://www.jacobinmag.com/2016/08/fbi-cointelpro-new-left-panthers-muslim-surveillance']counterintelligence program[/URL] directed at [URL='https://www.jacobinmag.com/2016/08/cointelpro-fbi-black-panther-party-young-lords-hoover/']movement organizations[/URL], Karenga’s US organization murdered two leading members of the Black Panther Party in Los Angeles, [URL='http://www.itsabouttimebpp.com/memorials/alprentice_bunchy_carter.html']Alprentice “Bunchy” Carter [/URL]and John Huggins, and [URL='https://bit.ly/johnsavage-sylvesterbell01']two more [/URL]in San Diego, Sylvester Bell and John Savage.
To my knowledge, Mr Karenga has never expressed the faintest remorse or regret for these murders, or for his part in furthering the nefarious aims of federal and local police agencies in their assault upon the movement of those times.
