Hardest game you've ever beaten? -

Let's brag about our video game related accomplishments. Threat title says it all, pretty much.

For me, I'd say it's about a three-way tie between La Mulana (did almost all of it on my own, although I looked up the solution to the mantra puzzle because fuck that puzzle), Baten Kaitos Origins, and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes on Hard.

Actually, speaking of the NES, I have beaten Battletoads, but I had to use an infinite lives cheat, so it doesn't really count. I have no idea how anyone managed to beat that game legitimately.

I did beat Dragon Quest II which is one of the hardest RPGs out there, but that was with my big cousin's help so I don't think that counts...

For me I have to say Gothic 2: Night of the Raven and Dark Souls.

I'd say the original Rayman if I didn't resort to cheats.

Seriously, that game is ridiculous.

So, I guess I'll answer probably either Dark Souls or Ninja Gaiden 2. Although Super Meat Boy's Dark World stages are up there as well.
