MDMA has been used experimentally to "treat" autism. With no particular success I might add, other than the fact that it might make some kind of sense in a rudimentary way... I'd expect DXM or LSD to be potentially really dangerous psychiatrically for OPL, I hope he doesn't. For that matter, marijuana is no doubt bad for his mental state, too. As would be MDMA or anything else to be honest, although the Valium is probably not actually that bad an idea, probably chills our dude out a bit...
Disastrously life changing. It's not really known for reinforcing the sense of reality in unstable people. Schizophrenics who smoke marijuana almost always get more psychotic. Fairly gradually most of the time (as opposed to very rapidly with synthetic cannabinoids, or cocaine or PCP) but never ever for the better (there are some bipolar people for whom it can be stabilizing but as a general rule it as terrible idea for anyone with psych issues. Autistic people I'm not as certain but it's generally not good for anxiety and shit social skills either. It does seem to moderate some of the side effects of hardcore psych meds, which is unfortunate because this motivates people to smoke it, but for that matter, cocaine, which shares chemical structures with Cogentin, the main med prescribed for this purpose, does too. Also extremely extremely poor choice for the schizophrenics and bipolars.) But it is fuckterrible for reality testing. I see no reason why it would be different for Chris whether or not he is actually schizophrenic in the strict sense of the word.

Doesn’t matter anyways, virginia is one of those states with draconian pot laws. It’ll take a Democrat president and a national congressional lift on the ban to get weed legal there. And I’m not sure Chris will live another five years to see that.
