The 1400 Biden approved for covid stimulus is said to be going out this weekend with some outlets reporting some people have them already as of Friday.

There was an option (through Turbo Tax, anyway) to say you had received the 2020 stimulus checks, just can't remember where it was under. I'm going to assume the 2021 stimulus check(s) will be mentioned as an option next tax season.

EDIT: Okay yeah, you're right they're not taxable (if that was always the case or if they updated it after I already filed), but I think the IRS wanted to make sure those qualified got the right amount as stated for the stimulus checks. Still can't figure out where it was mentioned that I checked "yes" on, but it might be for keeping records or something. I dunno, maybe it's paranoia about "lying" to the IRS I didn't get the stimulus checks by not marking off that I got them.

However, these checks can be claimed by your debtors, something that was not possible with Trumpbux.

The IRS has a tool to help track when/if you're gonna get a payment if you have direct deposit with them. Apparently mine's not due till the 17th, damn was hoping it would be one of the lucky weekenders who get it but it's better than waiting and not knowing.

Also should make for one helluva St. Patrick's day present luck o the irish right there, may celebrate with a bottle of Jameson and a pint or two o Guinness

I got mine on Friday. Was doing a deposit at my bank and I see the receipt with an extra 1400.00 dollars available and I had to ask the teller if it was a mistake - last time with the 600, it was held in 'pending' for a day before I could use it.

Got ours and tax return on the same day. I took it as an ill omen so the return got cached, and promptly spent the Biden bux on everything they despise and/or want to ban.

I've been telling people if they don't use some of it to buy a stash of ammo, even if they don't currently have a gun (the boats done sailed on that one), they're seriously behind the coming blackmarket powercurve..... or at the very least, some new Bibles.

Just got a letter from the IRS about an EIP2 payment of $600 coming in the next week. So the $2000 I guess has happened as said, they just split the payment in two. Interesting.

This letter I got made a note that this EIP2 hasn't been reduced for past due child support or other federal or state debts. Guess it's like a fine print thing most people weren't aware of.
