Back sometime either last year or 2019 I came across a video of a guy responding to Harris' soy boy video. The guy knew his shit when it came to diet and provided plenty of citations and while he did agree with Harris that PJW was full of shit, there were points that Harris was either poorly researched on or had a half formed understanding of. I believe the video was titled "The Soy of the South: A Measured Response to hmbomberguy" or something. I've searched for ages to try and find that video again but it looks like it, along with the entire channel have been wiped from youtube. Does anyone know the video I'm talking about and is it listed elsewhere? If found I think it would make a good addition to this thread.

Don't want to unjustly accuse Harris of anything but part of me wonders whether the video is now gone because Harris' fans brigaded the guys channel

Harry, the major people against the vaccine come from communities where it's recorded history that they were used as medical tests without care for the consequence. And those consequences were bad.

Couple that with the fact the this vaccine is rushed...and everything else going on with this pandemic...people have perfectly valid reason not to want the jab.

I put the video on the background and sure, I agree with most of it. Except I honestly can't blame parents for not wanting their kid to be autistic, especially autistic to an unknown degree (so, possibly not mild). Linking it to MMR is a misplaced fear but at one point he ridiculed those hOrRiblE abLEiSt parents fearing autism so much they'd rather have their kids suffer from measles but be mentally normal. He definitely failed the attempt at reaching hardcore antivaxxers, people who aren't antivaxx but could be reached and compelled by the antivaxx message and people who don't want to or aren't sure about taking the covid vaccine, which I'd argue are different groups with some overlap. I guess that's true of most of his deboonking videos like the flat earth or climate change ones, just preaching to the choir.

So that's not interesting nor relevant except the tiny segment about Covid at the end. But I noticed something in his comments, it was more prominent something like a week ago: there were fans of his comparing the Wakefield study to Lisa Littman's ROGD study.

They really have to bring up the troon shit everywhere, don't they? I haven't read the study, but it's a different field (psychology), it hasn't been retracted because contrary to Wakefield's paper, there's actual evidence to support ROGD. The problem with the autism-MMR vaccines link wasn't that Wakefield took the parent's observations into consideration but that the sample size was too small, he lied about his results and he had a massive conflict of interests on top of all. I'm sure interviewing the parents or caretakers of children and teenagers in psychology and even medicine is par for the course.

Other interesting comments were those wondering about how such a paper got through The Lancet's peer review process in the first place, which hbomberguy glossed over. Heh, stop thinking about that, it's not possible that methodologically faulty studies that inform public health decisions get published in credible journals all the time, no, no way! Trust this snarky layman leftist Youtuber, he knows what he's talking about.
