I've read in multiple places that tech moguls are extremely interested in "environmentalism" in Africa-- and you know that means taking over their resources. One of the ways they've already weaseled into some countries there is via offering to provide internet access without charging their governments. It's all about profit, however, they don't really care about bettering the lives of the people who actually live there.

I wouldn't be shocked if the US were somehow deployed there for "advisory" reasons.
