He's going to jail. It's just a question of when. -

I don't know about that. I mean I wouldn't want to put up with Chris or Barb and I'm not a horrible person. Merely moderately unpleasant. I don't know about the others, but Cole doesn't strike me as particularly horrible, either. Irritating at worst.

Edit: Oh wait. You mean Chris and Barb are such horrible people. I honestly didn't think that needed mentioning.

Lol, he means Chris and Barb are horrible and no one in their extended family wants to deal with them, not that you're horrible person for not liking them.

And you're OK, A-No. 1. I'm glad you're riding the rails with us :)

I've said it before, but God, could you imagine being his cell mate? Locked up with Chris for hours everyday, unable to get away from the smell, having to listen to him rambling...

It'd be a clear case of cruel and unusual punishment.

With the latest encounter in the El Agave lot he could be going sooner than we think! There is this huge part of me that wants to think that he hasn't updated/deleted sage advice (i.e. *cough* *perceived troll comments* *cough) in a couple hours because he's been hauled in for shrieking his fate to the heavens above (I like to picture this like that scene when Andy Dufresne crawls out of the sewer pipe to freedom).

Ever since the Wal-Mart ban incident he's closer to going to jail now. If he actually get a life imprisonment sentence, I wonder what will be his final Facebook post (or even a YouTube video) before he goes to jail.

It certainly won't be this:

If he's in a minimum facility his cell mates will complain until they put him in with someone as crazy as he is who won't mind him being Chris. Or won't notice. Or he'll spend a lot of time in isolation.

If he does something really stupid and end up in a maximum facility, well then he'll have a choice: Not be Chris or get shanked. Rinse. Repeat. A few iterations and even he will learn this simple lesson.

Honestly, though, even in a maximum facility he probably won't get shanked. He might "accidentally and with no help from his cell mate fall down and hurt himself on the toilet" a few times, but blood injuries probably won't be necessary. Simple intimidation from the other inmates will probably suffice; Chris is a coward at heart.

I'm really not trying to A-Log here, but while it's obviously very unlikely that Chris would be assaulted in a minimum security prison, wouldn't he still have to shower with the rest of the inmates? With his aversion to the sight of men's bodies and cocks in particular, being forced into being surrounded by them would be a nightmare for the guy

And what about his aversion to the feeling of the water and soap on his skin?

If you think that's bad, think about how Chris reacts to stress. Those poor, poor inmates ...

Oh Christ, I don't even know how prisons deal with that kind of thing. Solitary maybe, but not in a minimum security prison. Keep him in the infirmary?

I just checked his FB this morning, NO comments have been deleted, which leads me to believe that he has indeed been hauled away, whether to the county jail or a psychiatric institution for a mandatory hold. Either way, this time without any form of vidya/electronic devices must be really hard on him.

Some may think this unlikely, but if Chris was looking up at the sky screaming "KILL ME NOW!!!" And kept doing it after being told to settle down, then they most definitely hauled him off.

If Chris does end up in jail, how long would it take us to find out?

Or maybe when he returned home he just (:_( and hasn't had the urge to check Facebook or the CWCKI yet.

A lot of people are confusing jail with prison. There's a big difference. Not that it matters much, because Chris isn't going to enjoy either one unless he ups the ante to where he deserves it. He hasn't.

He's not going to get his driver's license revoked either, unless he does something really outrageous. None of his other antics are worthy of involuntary commitment in a mental institution, either.

He'd have to, like, break some laws beyond scrawling on a cardboard standup at Wal-Mart. The county (state, whatever) was happy to let him bargain down to a misdemeanor with a suspended sentence and a token fine for the Oct. 28th incident -- and recall that he wasn't arrested for a moving violation, but leaving the scene of an accident. That's not something you get a traffic ticket for, or points on your license; if his insurance company even knew, they wouldn't care.

A fender-bender isn't a traffic violation either. You're responsible for your damages, but that's civil, not criminal. The insurance company is going to pay attention, but so what -- almost everyone dings someone else's car eventually (it's called an "accident" for good reason), and they're not cancelling all policies wholesale. Heck, I even rear-ended a guy once. I caused (gasp) nearly $200 in damage, but somehow stayed out of San Quentin and the whole thing took two minutes on the road exchanging info and a phone call to my insurance agent. It may keep his rates up for a year or something, but that's about it and it sounds like a fairly insignificant incident to begin with. He won't be jailed, imprisoned, or institutionalized for it. Yelling at the sky isn't a crime either, nor is it grounds for a psychiatric hold.

Sure, if he escalates his behavior to the point it really becomes a danger to himself or others, or if he actually commits a crime worthy of prosecution -- granted, neither is out of the realm of possibility, but neither has happened in reality -- he could wind up spending a few days or weeks in the pokey or some kind of institution, sure. Speculation that he must have been imprisoned already because of a few day's FB silence borders on the ridiculous. He hasn't committed any crimes anyone cares about (the closest he's come was Irritating people, but not to the point where it'd be worth rounding up a posse of lawyers), and his mental condition(s), whatever they are, don't cause him to pose an acute danger to himself or anyone else.

Unless he makes a hard left turn into actual criminal behavior or goes wildly off the deep end, the Man ain't going to do anything about it. Surprise or upset sometimes cause him to impulsively overreact sometimes, and that could very well get him into trouble later, but he doesn't plan to commit crimes (and sometimes doesn't realize it when he has) - it's mostly flailing madly at perceived and unexpected "injustices," and so far he hasn't managed to get into serious trouble by so doing. He'll bitch on Facebook, but nobody's going to launch a civil suit based on his tard-ramblings even if he does cross the line sometimes. If you want to go to jail, do some actual crimes. If you want to go to prison, do some actual serious crimes. If you want to go to a mental hospital, be insane. Sometimes it looks like he's trying, but he really isn't, and fails on all three.

In short, while I wouldn't be surprised at some point to hear of him doing a stretch courtesy of the local gub'mint, I don't see it happening Anytime Soon™, and certainly not for anything he's done so far.

It's been said before, once Barb is gone Chris may well spend the rest of his life alternating between group homes / halfway houses, the streets, and incarceration (of one form or another). Some people hate the thought. Some people like it. I see it simply as inevitable. He's not there yet, but his behavior is getting progressively worse and doesn't show much signs of improving. But it will take a long time before the authorities reach the point beyond fines and time served and try incarcerating him. I do see a lot of overnight stays (and possible 72 hour observation periods) in his future, though.

To be honest, the most likely way Chris will find himself imprisoned is for something damn stupid like vehicular manslaughter (possibly aggravated because of a hit and run), or some other idiot accident like that. Or because of some failure to appear or contempt of court matter on an otherwise merely fine able offense like petty vandalism. He does have a talent for escalating small incidents into big ones.

There are two kinds of people who get locked up: criminals and fuckups. Chris is not some nefarious criminal, but he most definitely is a fuck up.
