hi let's talk - livestream 6/24/2021 - in which Becky informs us that Amber sheds hair like a cat and Amber claims she loves the feeling of being sunburned

Either Becky or Big Al mentioned that Becky was on warfarin (before the doctor took her off because she was in "renal failure" and it just magically went away when she stopped taking it). I'm guessing that was the reason they told her to not eat grapefruit. But Becky said tonight she doesn't even know what's she taking, and hey gorl, way to be so well informed about your fucking medical condition(s), just like Big Al. I see TheNuke mentioned grapefruit and blood thinners, and they both said Becky isn't taking any now. She hasn't mentioned a statin (another nono for grapefruit eating). Grapefruit's effect on levothyroxine for hypothyroid patients is negligible, so that can't be the cause of the limitation. Even if it were, One look at Becky would tell anyone she isn't in any real danger from grapefruit consumption.

I found this in comments.

It can interfere with the medication being absorbed. A tiny amount of grapefruit probably wouldn't hurt once in a while but it's recommended to avoid.
It's more that people on Levo need to wait at least four hours before drinking or eating grapefruit or orange juice. It's an absorption issue. It's also recommended to wait a period of time before eating after taking Levothyroxine.

eta: If Becky's cholesterol is high, her doctor should be monitoring her T3 and T4 levels with quarterly blood tests and adjusting her Levothyroxine. If levels aren't correct, it can lead to higher cholesterol levels, among other issues.

My bottle says "Take on an empty stomach". Since I do more research than these two tards and, you know, just asked my doctor, I found that they say eating various things (because calcium and iron interfere with absorption) is a no-no at the time you take it, but some studies show that you can eat as little as an hour after taking it without screwing your numbers.

Her doctor should be keeping an eye on her liver enzymes, too, if she's taking levothyroxine and even moreso if she is also taking a statin.

I don't know about the rest of you but instead of prescribing meds neither of them could hope to pronounce I would just give them a script for 42 triple baconators and wait for the problem to sort itself out.

But I guess that's why they don't let wizards be doctors. (:_(

Conversely, Amber could be prescribed a gun and swallow bullets. It only needs to be taken once! :story:

Becky said she takes something for her thyroid, and that's what grapefruit messes with. Probably Levothyroxine but I did not like the way she didn't seem to know if the thyroid levels were low or high, nor did she seem to care. Also the doctor didn't tell her? Wait they're in KY. Nevermind.
There the blood Pressure medications, anxiety medications, and mood medications that you shouldn’t eat grapefruit while on as well.

but then, grapefruit is a fruit and usually eaten fresh so I can’t really see bex eating it anyway 🤣

This whale cannot bear Twinkie showing her preference for Becky. If I can give Becky one compliment, it's that her love for the animals seems genuine.

Fatty doing the baby talk and man handling Twinkie and the cats is supposed to convince everyone that she is SUCH an animal lover, a fantastic fur momma and amazeeeen person in general.
Clearly not understanding how uncomfortably forced it is, how blatant the disingenuous ''love'' is. Those poor animals are props and nothing more to her.

Ha. She says she won't be visiting countries because being gay is illegal, you can't even go to the toilet, sit down heifer.
I can't stand her current favourite term ''it is what it is''.
They both get significantly nastier with each live, that shouldn't even be possible.

Nice flashing too. Tasty.

Someone asked if they've ever traveled outside the United States and Amber said "Absolutely not, I just found out today that being gay is illegal in 70 countries so you won't be seeing me there."

I'm so glad she cleared that up, because I was sitting here thinking the reason she's not traveling the world is because she's a 600 lb housebound behemoth that would need to purchase 3 rows of airplane seats
She really doesnt pay attention to anything anyone but her self does she? How can you be a "lesbian" and not aware of that?

Does amberlynn think if she moves back to California her life will be different?
She would still do the same things, sit on the couch in an apartment she never leaves, BUT! she would be so arrogant and insufferable, flexing on her viewers that she lives in California! y'all. Hair flip, pouty stare.

No Neck Beck mentioned that she can't eat grapefruit with one of her medications. Grapefruit is what you're not supposed to eat if you're on statins. Wow, diabetes AND high cholesterol... you could never tell just by looking at her!

Not going to dispute Becky could be on statins (I'd be surprised if she wasn't) but they are by far the only drug it can interact with:

Thyroid drugs are not the only agents affected by grapefruit. Others include:

  • Some anti-anxiety drugs like buspirone
  • Some anti-arrhythmia drugs like Pacerone (amiodarone)
  • Some antihistamines like Allegra (fexofenadine)
  • Some corticosteroids like Entocort EC (budesonide)
  • Some high blood pressure medications like Procardia (nifedipine)
  • Some statin drugs like Zocor (simvastatin) and Lipitor (atorvastatin)
  • Some organ-transplant rejection drugs like Sandimmune (cyclosporine)
Becky said she takes something for her thyroid, and that's what grapefruit messes with. Probably Levothyroxine but I did not like the way she didn't seem to know if the thyroid levels were low or high, nor did she seem to care. Also the doctor didn't tell her? Wait they're in KY. Nevermind.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say 100% that her thyroid is underactive (hypothyroid) - we'd all see pretty quickly if she was hyperthyroid 🤣

That's not the same as 'low/high thyroid levels' though... it's deceptive because blood tests rely on a mixture of hormones, mostly T3, T4, and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) -
my latest bloods I was called back with 'your levels are through the roof, we need to up your Thyroxine dosage ' (she meant TSH levels) and I'm hypothyroid

TSH is basically the pituitary 'calling' the thyroid gland to produce the necessary hormones after the hypothalamus releases TRH - thyroid releasing hormone - (that Becky correctly said the thyroid controls pretty much EVERYTHING your body does) - if the thyroid doesn't respond with appropriate amounts, the pituitary basically goes into 'panic mode' and repeat calls with TSH, hence a blood result with high TSH, low free T3/T4 indicates hypothyroidism, the reverse with hyperthyroidism

That's about as simplified as I can make it, but Beckster definitely has several symptoms that indicate hypothyroidism - weight gain, retarded speech, loss of eyebrows are three off the top of my head you could apply to her

grapefruit juice inhibits liver enzymes that can mess with the potency of certain drugs does nothing to the amount being "absorbed". many recreational opioid users will do this to increase the effect.

That's simply not the case with levothyroxine though
Not debating that certain drugs can be boosted with grapefruit enzymes but in the case of thyroid medication it slows absorption... it's thought the bioavailability isn't lowered necessarily, just the speed of absorption so if you overdo it, you may never absorb your full dose
eta: If Becky's cholesterol is high, her doctor should be monitoring her T3 and T4 levels with quarterly blood tests and adjusting her Levothyroxine. If levels aren't correct, it can lead to higher cholesterol levels, among other issues.
Absolutely correct - if you are hypothyroid, get raised cholesterol levels and your Doctor's first reaction is to try and prescribe statins rather than making sure your thyroid levels are as close to perfect as they can be (not easy in many patients), your response should be see a different Dr - if your thyroid levels are badly off, just about every bodily system will be off, as well

It does always amuse me how vehemently Amber insists her thyroid levels 'are always perfect', because ironically that would be one thing that COULD explain away her inability to lose weight...but then, we know how she likes to say she's 'big but hulthy' and I suppose dainty gorls like her don't get thyroid issues, lol

Someone asked if they've ever traveled outside the United States and Amber said "Absolutely not, I just found out today that being gay is illegal in 70 countries so you won't be seeing me there."
Amber's logic amazes me. She did not bother to look at which countries she should not go to instead of not travelling at all.
No Neck Beck mentioned that she can't eat grapefruit with one of her medications. Grapefruit is what you're not supposed to eat if you're on statins. Wow, diabetes AND high cholesterol... you could never tell just by looking at her!
The way we are discussing their medications, we would think that we were talking about old-age pensioners living at a retirement home instead of two 30-something women. I do not think that they need to save for retirement anyhow.
I don't think she wears pants around the house. She just covers herself with a blanket now like the people on mshpl.
Amber is at the muumuu stage right now. She lives, day and night, on that couch. It does remind you of many participants on MSHPL.
Becky definitely does doordash, it’s the only thing she’d be qualified for
Actually, this does make sense, A LOT OF SENSE. She is not qualified for many jobs but I can't see her working in hospitality. I guess the "commissions" work did not pan out as expected. However, driving around town delivering meals for Doordash or UberEat would fit the bill. I would also not be surprised if Amber would tag along. This would explain why they are SO busy at that supper time and are having so much difficulty doing the Live Streams around that time. This would elucidate the amount of "errands" that they have been doing lately.
