It is almost as if SJWs don't want actual equality. They only want power for themselves. Kind of reminds me of George Orwell's Animal Farm in which the quote "All animals are equal. But some are more equal than others." That quote is exactly what SJWs believe, despite them claiming "MUH TREU EQUALETEH".

I'm pretty sure this is what they want. They just want to be at the top.

Not to mention, many of the times SJWs don't even remotely care in the slightest about the minorities they claim about. They only care about who is on top and only want the power. I mean, SJWs have treated people in minority groups who call them out on their bullshit such as non-white people, women, and the LGBTQ+ crowd and SJWs hate them even more than the white cishet men they claim to hate so much. SJWs really only care about their egos and getting assfucks and cookies just for claiming to support equal rights (which is something that should not even be fucking rewarded for as it is something that any decent person should do).

IMO, I think it's just opposite. See, people do care about social justice and people on Tumblr are becoming more and more vocal. Which of course should be good thing.

But there's a problem like I already stated in one of my other posts, is that people when they get into that sort of blogging, they just get... engulfed into it. It first starts with actual caring about the issue, then they read and blog more, and then they start policing people what is wrong and right, they start spreading panic with ''problematic issue'' (ex: rape and sexism. There are many many valid points, but massive hysteria around it makes it seems like west world is living in a stone age where cavemen beated their women with clubs and dragged them to a cave), and then it becomes literal ''no fun allowed''. You can't draw big cleavage, you can't put ugly man mug on a woman body for a sake of joke, you can't alter lightning because that's whitewashing, etc etc. EVERYTHING IS A GODDAMN PROBLEM. You can't even try correcting anyone because it's always feels<facts, because fuck reason and logic, and people will be happy to dogpile you second you dare giving another perspective. That's the point where people cross from ''caring'' to actually ''yelling at other people because they are offended for x reason''.

I've seen quite enough of people I follow slowly falling into a SJW syndrome. It's almost like drug addiction and I can pinpoint moment they slowly cross that border.

And all of this made me super tired over on Tumblr. I came there to have fun and draw naked old men, not to worry if anything else I create will be problematic. Only thing is I wish I had more balls and tackle some of crap I see, but most of time I refrain because it simply isn't worth it.

From what Ive seen it's usually due to the person joining a tumblr fandom where that kind of groupthink runs rampant. They slowly start falling into the same thoughts, start posting the same types of things until one day literally everything offends them and they're suddenly identifying as nounself pronouns.

I've seen similar things happen in other areas - on websites and in the atheist/sceptical communities, which we know have seen SJWs making inroads. Putting aside the SJW problem, when you find yourself in agreement with everyone around you, then that is the time to either disagree or get the fuck out and find less agreeable company. An echo chamber can have only one outcome - groupthink.

Just something that’s been on my mind. Tumblr has this specific way of handling communities. These are just the ones that come by on my dash, I’m sure there are plenty more examples.

First they start out nice, tolerant, willing to listen and learn.

But they quickly become too nice and tolerant. Rather than simply accepting group X, they begin to overglorify them. They make them into something more special than people outside of group X, and coupled with their compulsive need to belong and feel special, desire to be a part of it too.

In comes the appropriation. If they can’t be a part of it, they’ll make themselves a part of it, one way or another. And is someone in group X not acting the way their fantasy version of them acts? Call them out on it!

They become so fanatical that they begin to talk over, or drive out the original people of group X.

And then finally they manage to become so hateful, their initial tolerance has turned into cold, terrifying intolerance. Calling gay/trans men privileged over white straight cis women, telling transsexual people to die, purposefully triggering people they dislike into panic attacks, defending Muslims to the point of calling the attack on Charlie Hebdo justified. And sending death threats to anyone who dares to disagree.

Being excluded from a group or community because you don’t belong there is not oppression.

It simply means that group does not describe or fit you as an individual.

If you can’t accept that, you have far deeper issues than your imagined ‘oppression’.

In "Nineteen Eighty-Four" and "Animal Farm," he portrays regimes that use proclamations of socialist (slash "animalist") principles to cloak repressive and hierarchical governmental structures. Orwell, who was a victim of Soviet persecution after joining a "Trotskyite" militia during the Spanish Civil War, dwelt a lot on failed attempts to establish socialism, but I've never read anything of his that indicated any anxiety about socialism being "taken too far."

...except that Vonnegut was extremely approving of socialism and liberalism and "Harrison Bergeron" was more a satire of what Americans at the time thought that socialism was like.

Is that what "Harrison Bergeron" was? I was compelled to read it in high school and, at the time, it struck me as some kind of blinkered right-wing critique of the idea of an "equal" society. I would never have guessed, on the basis of it, that Vonnegut was a socialist (or an author I'd come to like). I still have trouble reconciling "Harrison Bergeron" with the rest of Vonnegut's oeuvre.

Wow, I always learn something new on these forums. I have never heard of "Harrison Bergeron" before this and that mini movie was intriguing. From what I got from Wikipedia is that the story is an exercise in absurdity, like how far would we go to have "equality." My take on it is that if the SJWs had their way and got this kind of society there will still be people that will be disadvantaged, that is those that are able-bodied, intelligent, beautiful, etc will become the oppressed as they aren't allowed to realize their full potential.

You really need to get a lesson in history then. Orwell and others could espouse socialism ect.. because by that time what I would call "european socialism" had broken away with sovietesqe socialism. Unfortunately it seems everyone just thinks of soviet communism/socialism as all socialism.

Orwell and others hated the repressive authoritarian socialism precisely because they did take it to far. It's surprising to me so few people see the obvious parallels between the modern SJW and the Communists of a century ago. They are legit dangerous and will make Lenin or Stalin seem like saints if they gain power.
