no i'm not the best photographer, but my field is really drawing anyway. but yeah next time i'll make it a point to take better photos. and yeah i know some of these are pretty much junk but let's just say they're for pacing. pacing and anticipation are good.

and apparently i have to break this down into posts with 20 images max.

in this image i have in mind a special destination.

uh, disregard the messed up white balance. i was constantly pulling out my camera, snapping a photo as fast as i could, and putting it away. it generally didn't get to auto-white-balance.

here's a shortcut to where i'm going

there's a lot of these going across the landscape in a straight line. good for fast foot transport if you don't mind running into mooses.

more white dirt road

all over the place little homes of different styles hide in the bushes. cabins are the most common. they can actually get pretty dang nice. but this area isn't suitable for mcmansions and the like.

he quit grunting for a moment, i wondered if something was wrong. i guess he just ran out of grunt and needed to recharge.

i don't care

i recalled there being a nice view down this way but due to activity over there i shyed away for now.

here's where we're going! imagine walking along in the mushy forest and seeing that sticking out all of a sudden!

i heard activity, so i stayed away. bummer, i was going to show you something cool but not today. maybe next time.

here's a bigger pond. last visit i found many enormous brine shrimp, but they didn't appear today for some reason. lots of water skaters, though. i love watching them jump over obstacles. they're so fast.

nearby is another landmark along the way, a semi-abandoned area. pretty neat.

Pretty! Well, maybe not the houses, but definitely the trees and ponds!
I found a sort-of path along a dry riverbed the other day, but it was so overgrown that it was a little hard to get through without getting twigs stuck in my mohawk. I even took a video of myself whining about stinging nettle!
