Horrors caused by Greenpeace - why feelgooder environmentalists do more harm then good

Greenpeace is an organization most know around the world and think is a good organization. But something not admitted by Greenpeace or environmental advocates. Namely a number of native cultures around the world hate Greenpeace for destroying the means of a native culture to sustain and pass down their traditions, as well as allow the tribe to be self sufficient.

One example that comes to mind is the ending of seal hunts as well as the trade in seal fur being made illegal. The Inuit of Greenland have a culture that revolves around the hunting of seals and whales. Without the hunt the Inuit not only lost a source of important food but also income. Greenland is mostly snow. There is no real farming, Vegetables either are grown in hydroponics warehouses or brought in making produce expensive.

Another issue is the seal population has exploded and now they threaten the fish populations of several species. Some of these species are fished hence the livelihoods of fishermen and the food supply is in danger due to the shortsightedness of feel gooder environmentalists.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...its-urge-eu-reverse-seal-ban-save-way-of-life Greenland and Denmark are campaiging to get the seal trade fur be acceptable and save the Inuit way of life as well as cut down the damage done by the extremely large seal population.

I will likely post other examples of the destruction greenpeace and other feel gooder environmentalists have done. Destruction to not only cultures but the extinction or put a species down the path of extinction.

Penn and Teller had an amazing Bullshit! episode on PETA, Greenpeace and eco-terrorism. Gonna look for it when I'm not on mobile.

Daily reminder PETA kills most of the poor animals which fall in its claws.

Former member and co-founder of Greenpeace, Patrick Moore, said the last straw for him was when sometime in the 80s, the group proposed a worldwide ban on Chlorine. The ELEMENT. He was like WTF you guys you can't ban an element (especially one as common as chlorine), especially since so many things, including pharmaceuticals, are chlorine-containing compounds! The number of medicines that end in "hydrochloride" is staggering. So, he left the group, and fortunately the Chlorine ban never went anywhere.

You can't forget the time when Greenpeace vandalized the Nazca Lines just so they could put up a giant message promoting solar energy.

IMG_2900.JPG

The Nazca Lines are so old that just stepping on them could cause permanent damage. Greenpeace drove over them with a fucking truck, and several of the letters in the message are etched over smaller lines.

Is anyone going to talk about their "Sea kittens" bullshit? Basically they brainwash kids into believing that fish are as cute as cats they do it for other things as well, preying on kids by giving them fake information.

Also you can make your own with a Trump Hair-do.

That was PETA, not Greenpeace. Greenpeace has done some fucked up shit. PETA is a different beast, though, and is outright evil.

Rice is one of the cheapest foods in the world for poor people. It is generally a very good food, but it has one very significant problem, rice contains no vitamin A (something that if you don't consume will lead to permanent eye damage and eventual death).

Le evil corporations actually invented a strain of rice that synthesizes beta carotine (hence the gold color) and thus becomes a source of vitamin A.

Naturally they are 100% against this.

They also spend their time telling African nations that still believe in witchcraft that GMOs are from the Devil so they don't use any GMOs to stop starving to death.

For a group that's supposed to be at least fronting that they're all about science, they sure are scared of science.

Most of the ice will eventually melt, and they'll have to move away from their shitty desert homeland at some point. Greenpeace is doing them and their posterity a favor by getting them less reason to stay there so their stupid native asses don't double down when there's no ice or wildlife left on Greenland.

Tbh I feel like people who are afraid of GMOs are simply scared because "it's science and it's not easy for me to understand" like the same people who won't buy shit with ingredients they "can't pronounce" instead of looking up what the ingredient is and deciding if they want to eat it or not they assume it's evil and bad because SCIENCE

I have good green peace story.

So I am not from the US. I came to US as teenager because my mother won the Green Card Lottery. When I turn 18, I enlist in the USN. This allows me to fast track to get US citizenship. I also want to pay back US for taking me.

I was stationed in Norfolk Virginia on a large boat. At one point we are stationed in the Portsmouth Shipyard. The navy had released study saying that sonar hurts animals and the US would limits its use in areas of high animal concentration. Now PETA is based I think in Norfolk (that part of Virginia is crazy with PETA and 700 Club). So in shipyard, many PETA protesters from release of navy documents...which I did not understand because Navy said we would limit use of Sonar...

Well at the time we are in dry dock, there is nuke sub getting refuel. Nuke weapons and fuel are protected by marines. They take no shit. On carriers, they were notorious for fucking the shit out of officers that got in way of drills. You learn never...EVER fuck with marine protecting nuclear shit.

So PETA protest is ongoing at front of shipyard and we knew fuel was showing up by rail soon. So we take day to get chairs and beers to watch when train with fuel shows up.

Never saw so many white people with dreads getting heads kicked in and zipped tied. Good funny times.
