Even if he had a background check, nothing would pop up. He's only got missdemeanors and zero animal cruelty charges. He may be a gross fucktard, but he's no Michael Vick.

I know certain shelters have adoption fees for the animals, since they make up for the spray/neuter fees, vaccinations, etc. I guess in that case Chris would just use his to get those dogs. Though at the shelter in my area adopting a dog may cost up to $150.

That always irratates me. I know a few people with money issues (studen loans,unemployment,mortgage, shit like that) who get a dog, despite the fact that dogs are actually expensive.
So shithead can bitch that Synder made him pay medical bills that put him and his mother in the "very poor" demographic (too lazy to look it up, it was Facebook) but he can drop 300 on puppies.

This makes me suspect backyard breeder, because most respectable breeders have their litters sold by the time the dogs are born, or even before. Seeing as it's the South there's probably a big market for "cheap" beagles for hunting dogs and lots of idiots who'll breed their pets and sell the offspring on Craig's List for $400 a pop irregardless of any potential bad genes they're spreading along.

Yeah, even though dogs are "just pets" they can be very expensive and high maintenance, just like human children. And just like children, pets still need healthy food, exercise, proper grooming, doctor visits, and love and attention to thrive, and none of those are cheap. And unlike children, pets aren't tax deductible!

Though who am I kidding? These are the Chandlers here, and those folks can barely take care of themselves, let alone another living being.

They're still using newspaper for peeing, dogs at that age shouldn't be doing that, obviously those dogs aren't getting any kind of excercise, i won't be surprised if those dogs are already experiencing some disease or disorder...

The dog that my brother's roommate had adopted, Cooper, was severely overweight at the time of adoption. Apparently the previous owners gave up Cooper because they didn't have time for him; they didn't walk him at all and all they did was feed him. I'm assuming that's what the Chandlers are doing to the beagles, except unlike Cooper's previous owners they don't realize that there's something wrong with this...
