How do i most easily explain the evolution of humans to my religious relatives? -

Exactly what do you have to work with, and what do you want to accomplish? The literal thread title just says you want to explain evolution, like good enough they could pass a biology test. Normally people asking this question don't just want comprehension, they want to change beliefs.
Do you want them to be able to parrot the explanation of the mechanism back at you and pass a class?
Do you want them to believe that humans today are not exactly the same as humans 500 years ago, and that they are still evolving today?
Do you want them to believe that the origin of humans is evolution?
Do you want them to believe that evolution affects more than just humans?
Do you want them to believe an explanation that says there is no way God is involved at all?
Are you trying to use this as a Trojan horse to convince them of something bigger and therefore need to embed a few more talking points in the argument?
What do you hope to achieve here? Just make them (not) believe? Are they scientists or something so they might actually do something dumb given the wrong starting points? (The scientist variation would require a more specific and careful explanation to avoid creating a different kind of blindspot). Or is it a case where if you never mention it then it'll have literally no effect on the world?

If you like them and they like you don't bring it up. If you don't like them tell them why they are stupid and wrong. Two things you shouldn't talk about if you want to make friends is religion and politics.

I don't have a lot of information to go on so I'm going to make the following assumptions:
1. These people are older than you
2. They are Conservative Protestant Christians
3. You are trying to inform and convince them of evolution without pissing anyone off
I don't know how you relate to them so here are some tips
There are a few things that are automatic turnoffs to Protestant Christians with regards to evolution. Charles Darwin will shut down any conversation, they are trained to oppose Darwinism as anti-theist propaganda. Another common pitfall is, when you mention evolution, they might interpret it as a replacement for God. After all, if evolution made everything then why would you need to believe in a God? Whether you believe this or not, don't make it the hill you die on. Maybe argue evolution more as a, "God used evolution as a tool to create man." Some Christians argue that one day in the creation narrative is equal to one-thousand years in current day. Here is an article with a little more detail.
As for explaining evolution itself, I would use basic examples to support your argument. Everyone kind of gets evolution conceptually. Just try to iron out the kinks and combat the misinformed opinions they likely hold. Point out that humans have adapted different features due to their climate. Different creatures, such as the peppered moth, have a likelihood of survival proportional to the effectiveness of their color camouflage. What this example shows is that natural selection has caused this species to adapt a particular "camouflage" color. There are extra bones in certain whale species that are holdovers from their ancestor species. Geologically, you can determine the age of the earth by analyzing layers of sediment, like we do at the Grand Canyon. If you make a fucky wucky and discuss the age of the earth or the universe, red shift can be used to help determine the age of the universe and that we are expanding outwards.
A word of warning if they're fundamentalists: They may have read some fundi literature that defends young earth creationism. An example of that is Ken Ham, and that's a whole ordeal of crazy. What does it matter if they don't believe in evolution? Are they in danger of terror bombing a university if they don't?

The Logos causes creatures to converge towards certain patterns over time in order to guide creation towards it's intended end. Evolution is one such process which is a physical manifestation of creatures being guided over time by logos to change into different forms that serve an intended purpose in the present to bring about an intended purpose in the future. Don't teach them Neo-Darwinian evolution because it's a load of horseshit. The mechanism for evolutionary change is contained within the laws of nature and the chemical composition of DNA itself, not any extrinsic natural selection of patterns that are suited to a particular environment.
