I've been revisiting some old Christory recently, and I noticed something odd. In his Animal Crossing documentary, he showcased an in-game version of Story of My Current Days, and the length is clearly obvious when you see Chris scrolling down, and down...and down again, as it seems to never end. What really makes me dumbfounded is how Chris actually spent the time using a GameCube controller and a slow in-game keyboard to type a 2,780 word manifesto (thanks to Wordcounter.net). To put it in perspective, it usually takes about a minute or so to type out simple letters for in-game NPCs, and Chris sat down and took the time to type out that entire story.

How long must have it taken?

I've thought about this before and it made my brain hurt. Was there a keyboard attachment or something for that GameCube or was that introduced after the wii came out?
In fact I think on one of the old forums I remember commenting about this and I said that it must have been so painful for him to have to type that out because he has to linger on each word of every sentence for at least 20 seconds. Why go through that?!

There's a (literal) keyboard controller that was released in 2002/2003, which only worked with Phantasy Star Online. I'm pretty sure if Chris had it, he would have mentioned it.

well damn! I can't believe he wrote that giant text with his controller. It probably took him most of his day. But I'm going to say around 3 to 4 hours maybe more.

I was also wondering about the keyboard thing for the controller...

Chris probably didn't have that keyboard controller, it sounds like it was hard to get outside of Japan. It also looks really awkward to play on, I might add.

He was recently suspended at PVCC. What else did he have to do all day?

That is the weirdest controller I've ever seen. What was the point?

It was used only for one (two if you get technical) Phantasy Star Online ports to the GCN. The thing is, everyone was busy playing the original Dreamcast version, so the game was a failure when it arrived, and obviously the controller wasn't really a coveted accessory.
