I don't think it was the Autism. It was the incredible naivety and rampant stupidity.

I'm honestly rather perplexed trying to figure out his actions. Does he just not know any better or does he know better but he just doesn't care or does he think his actions are wrong but GodBear knows his intent so it's OK for him to do it? I honestly don't know. And, of course there are always da trolls who make him do dumb stuff.

To answer OP, yes, Chris thinks that because of da autism, we should forgive him for anything wrong he does. He and his lawyer have literally used his autism as a get out of jail free card (that, and Snyder had mercy on the moron).

Even if what he does is egregiously wrong, Chris will always have a justification that it was the right thing to do, autism or otherwise.

Right, exactly. I was going to say Chris does mental gymnastics and tortures logic to prove what he does is right, but that's not the case. He's just so twisted he thinks everything he does is right.

I wonder if he even has to justify his actions to himself. I don't think he ever feels guilt. Any time he's tried to rationalize his actions, it was only in response of of those questioning him or to make folks more sympathetic to his plight.

No, I don't think he's capable of guilt or remorse. Also, anytime he ever apologizes for anything it's always with another rationalization or excuse.
That said, I'm not sure he does hateful things on purpose the way we think of it, he does these things intentionally, but he also genuinely believes what he does is True and Honest.

Basically that. They're on purpose, but he doesn't think he's doing anything wrong. The whole world is wrong except for himself and whoever he's currently eyeing to be his sweetheart from the ground up.

I think it's the latter. He really truly believes that his intent is always noble and grand enough to justify whatever means he uses to get there.

Yep. I think he is technically capable of remorse and guilt - he's not a true sociopath - but those functions pretty much never see any use, because he thinks he's always in the right.

I think these attitudes come from the same place as his inability to acknowledge faults in his "art"

To Chris, telling him that it's wrong to jump straight into inking a Sonichu page in permanent Biro and marker pens with no planning, practice, or preliminary sketching, is no different than telling him that it's wrong to drive his car into another human being.
