How to Kill a Ghost -

I've been thinking about this for a while and thought it would be interesting to talk about. If ghosts do exist and emit or are made of EMFs like they are believed to. Would an EMP kill or cripple one in some way? What about a major solar flare? I personally think an EMP could kill a ghost and I really want to test it out some day. Imagine during the events that The Conjuring is based on if someone just hit the ghost with an EMP or something, what do you think would've happened?
