I don't think Chris will really mind it, because he's been a MLP fan long before Friendship is Magic came out. He just loves the little ponies (aka collectable hunks of colorful plastic), not a specific show about them.

Anyway, Chris might get a little annoyed by one of his shows changing its formula (since, in his head, it is his show, no one elses), but honestly he's not going to make a big fuss or anything. Certainly not like the brickshitting all the real bronies will be doing. Ironically, this stupid children's show is one field where Chris himself is relatively uninvested, while other people make it their whole damn lives.

Chris was the original brony. He collected Generation 1 toys and advised in his dating advice video he made when he was 20 that boys should consider playing with ponies to get in touch with their feminine side. He seems to have a unique attachment to Rainbow Dash because she is more boyish than the others and he likely has a crush on her, which is why he gets upset when people make dark humor videos revolving around her. The same thing happened with Meg Griffin from Family Guy.

But, aside from that, he probably wouldn't notice.

I used to watch it. Sure, I saw only a few episodes, then lost interest, but I still saw a bit of it. From what I remember, the show was very well written, and there was a lot of humor that both kids and adults could appreciate, so that might be why it attracted a lot of viewers, but the whole 'crazy-ass bronies' thing is a mystery. I think it started out as a thing where viewers were being mocked for watching it, so they went all "haters gonna hate" and started to buy a bunch of pony shit to say to everyone, "I like My Little Pony, fuck you." They also started to use pony terminology like we use CWC-isms, for shits and giggles. I'm not sure how the obsession started, but the brony insanity doesn't apply to all fans of the show. I have a friend who's a brony, and he doesn't have brony insanity. He has an MLP t-shirt and a Fluttershy toy (which I haven't seen him with in about a year, but he still wears the shirt), and that's the extent of it.
