Many westerners also enjoy Japanese music, and do not speak Japanese, so this is fine. Many people in Japan like Korean these days, and in the past many liked music from Taiwan even though they don't understand any Chinese.

I am actually an Okinawan separatist of sorts. I don't actually see myself as Japanese, but refer to it since it is easier and I don't want to explain to everyone my inner thoughts.

I come from southwest, inland, mountainous areas of China。

The first is the difference between the two dialects. The dialects in the north are closer to Putonghua, while there are various dialects in the south, which are difficult for others to understand.
