How do I take care of these shit factories so that they don't die?
Fuck Easter.

Ngl, they're pretty cute tbh fam. But I have no idea how they even got here.

Edit: I've already read up on the basics but there's only so many times you can read that they eat Timothy hay before it starts getting repetitive @.@

They can have an outdoor fixture, but make sure they stay indoors if the weather gets over, say, 85 F. Bunnies don't do heat well. It may be sort of obvious, but I have a sad bunny story related to that, that you can be spared from living out.

That's good to know x: they wanna make them outdoor bunnies but we're in Miami so that's clearly not a good idea -.-; I'm trying to sort out a good enclosure for them in the house @.@

If you get them litter box trained (it’s pretty easy, just take some of their poop and put it in the litter box and they’ll be all “I should shit here”) you can let them roam around, as long as you also bunny-proof whatever room they’re going to live in so they don’t chew your cables and such.

My little shitfactory is a house rabbit and he spends most of his time laying around, unless the cat pisses him off, and then he kicks the cat’s ass.

How long until they've grown enough to beat up my dogs? They're two months old now and pretty smol. The dogs aren't super interested in them but I'm still wary of letting them near the cage. The cat I'm not worried about because she's a gimp :/
Why the fuck did they buy rabbits ;-;

Depends on what kind of bunnies they are. Dwarf bunnies won’t grow very big; mine’s only about 4 pounds and he’s big for a dwarf (read: he’s a fatass.) Regular-sized bunnies can get to be sort of big.

Introduce them slowly. Let the dogs sniff the cage and stuff and then do supervised playtime outside the cage. If you favor the bunnies over the dogs, the dogs may start thinking that the bunnies are alpha over them, unless the dogs are assholes. Also, the bunnies will hump them to assert dominance. Once they’re all acclimated, I wouldn’t really let the dogs in the same room as the bunnies unless there’s supervision.

How can I tell if they're any sort of breed? They're supposed to be lion head bunnies but they look nothing like what I've googled .-.

Pictures? If they’re lion heads, I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think their manes grow in until they’re older.

When I had bunnies I had to duct tape the edges of my walls because they love to eat dry wall
When I moved to my current apartment, I taped cardboard to my windowsills and sprayed them down with a mix of lemon juice, hot sauce and febreeze so he would’t chew it. He ate the inside of my closet at my last apartment. :/

Super cute! But I don’t think it’s a lion head. It’s not small or fluffy enough, and the head and ears are too big. Baby lion heads are roughly around the size of softballs at 2 months, and most of that is fluff.

Judging by color and size, you *may* have Dutch rabbits, which grow to be about cat-sized, but are easy to care for and train. If they don’t get much bigger than they are now, you have dwarf buns, but breed will take a little bit more research to figure out.

That bun is adorable, I'm so jealous, I've been getting really broody lately over rabbits, like I just need one :heart-empty:

They don't need timothy hay all the time, just basic meadow hay will do for the majority with timothy hay as a treat (hay IS very important though, it should make up 80% of their diet). If you're keeping them as house bunnies you're going to want to make sure you bunny proof the house, a great trick for cables is to get a plastic tube/pipe, put a slit down the side and push the wires in there. If you're going to litter train them you might do better getting a standard cat litter tray as opposed to one specifically designed for rabbits, at least until you know how big they're going to get. You're going to want to get plenty of nibbley things for them as well because their teeth constantly grow so they WILL wear them down on your furniture (pro tip; if they still prefer your table legs over the overpriced log cabin you bought them rub some bunny yoghurt drops or strawberries over it to make it more interesting. Works for my awkward git of a hamster anyway). Oh, and if you have laminate/slippy floors in your house you might want to invest in some rugs or floor coverings, having a bun try to jump and fall won't be fun. Good luck!

All this. Your bunnies are new, so give them a bit to acclimate and get used to the house and the smells and their environment. This will also give you time to figure out if you’re going to let them be house bunnies. If you have a dog pen, you can also set it up around their cage to let them out to run a bit.

My bun, for example, is half-house bun, half-cage bun. I say this because even though he has free range of the house, he spends most of his time in his cage with the door open. He stays in his cage when I’m not home, though, because he terrorizes the cat. If you’re going to use a litter pan, don’t use regular cat litter, as the clay dust can cause respiratory problems. I use recycled paper bedding for his litter box, and crinkle paper bedding for his house. You can also use stuff like Yesterday’s News cat litter for litter pans.

I give my bun a timothy-based food - with dried veggie bits and crunchy puff things in it, but I don’t give him a whole lot because he primarily eats timothy hay and picks out the “fun” bits of his kibbles. (My bun is picky, and won’t eat meadow grass - he collects it all, puts it in his litter box and then poops on it.) Try to steer away from alfalfa-based foods, as there’s varying reports as to the nutritional value of alfalfa and too much of it tends to cause gut problems. (And trust me, that’s an $1100 lesson you don’t want to learn at 3 in the morning and you’re looking for a 24-hour emergency vet.) Fresh veggies are a must, but not too much or diarrhea happens (another awesome 3AM revelation.) I also give my bun craisins and yogurt raisins as a treat.

My mother's buns never really got up to much trouble, possibly because they were always supervised in whatever room she was in and locked in with baby gates.
She had to get him fixed (she got him amd was told he was a female) because she made me and she was scared the bunny would hump me and smother me during the humping. Apparently he really liked me and I learned to walk by following him around, he liked me a lot when I was older too, I was the only person that he would eat food from right out of my hand. He lived to be about 12 or 13

My friend’s bun lived to be 16 and just passed away last year. My previous bun passed away at 3 from a brain aneurysm; she used to give kisses if you put your face up to her. My current bun is 6 and is kind of an a-hole, but it’s my fault for spoiling him, so he doesn’t see me as a threat. If I’m laying in bed, he jumps up and dive bombs my face for attention. I had a pretty awesome Anakin Skywalker scar for a while because of it.

My mother's previous bunny would literally tackle her to get chocolate it was such a problem the vet told her to just start giving him tiny amounts

I had a rabbit named Kit, I called him Kitler cause he had black ears and a black nose. Generally they are safe animals to have and are pretty smart, but they can get territorial if they are big, you can let them roam outside and eat the grass. I let Kitler roam free and he used to nip my heels. Fucker. Sometimes they do get lonely, so maybe a friend. They'll chew anything thin enough, including wires so don't let them get their chompers into that.

Easter Talk: Does like anyone do that thing where you get talc or flour and make large paw prints for the kids so its like a sign that the easterbunny came?
