Long time lurker, first time poster. I seem to be alone in thinking that this can't be entirely fake. The man CRASHED A CAR for fuck's sake! Plus, the whole thing is too extensive to have been a complete hoax. Jace has had an internet presence of some sort since 2006 at the least. Perhaps some elements of the whole thing were faked, like the Israel trip, but maybe I'm in denial when I say that I refuse to believe that everything was parodic in nature. I'm not sure if it's the same Jan Rankowski, but seeing as how the timeline would add up, given that this Jan was 9-10 in 2004 and the Jan who portrayed Jace is currently 20 I'm betting that it is. They both live in Maine too. Plus, "Jan Rankowski" isn't exactly a common name and it's highly unlikely that there would be two of them around the same age living in the same state. The behavior described in the article wouldn't be out of character for "Jace." In addition, remember Chris-chan's "Rollin' and Trollin'" video? You know, the one where he "confirmed" that he'd been acting the whole time? The one that had people shitting themselves because they thought they'd been duped by a master troll? Yeah...how'd that end again?

I don't regret watching Jace anymore then I regret watching a good comedy movie.

Whether you started at the beginning or got into it about a week or two ago, Deagle Nation did bring a good laugh for some, especially since it made others (such as GG and aGG, Team Gamerfood, etc.) thought it was all real. Sure we did get played but in the end, many of us are laughing thanks to how funny it was.

Same boat as you, long time lurker and this is my second post. I am fairly certain that the Jan in the article is the Jan we know as Jace and that he in fact is autistic. I have been around many people with autism/aspergers and their likeness to Jace's persona is what led me to believe almost off the bat that Jace was autistic and nuts on top of that. But having autism doesn't make you incompetent, you just think and act differently from the norm. I think what made Jan's act so convincing is the fact that he is indeed autistic. As examples of his competence think of how he was able to flip things around and troll people that tried to troll him and to add to that, the fact that he writes material for MDE. All this just shows what a great sense of humor this dude has.

Christ Zone confused me a lot because I didn't think Jace was fake, but I didn't buy Gail's pastor faggot cult stuff because I know too much about obscure american fundamentalist sects to never have heard of that set of beliefs. I know a LOT of fundamentalists, and she nailed it with a lot of the stuff, but the diet stuff was where I knew something wasn't right. I've seen a million blog entries from fundies on the subject of making sure your sons turn out manly and hetero, but the whole hot dogs and hamburgers thing felt like parody.
Her saying the KJV bible was wrong was another red flag, because the vast majority of fundies in the US believe it is the one true bible. I don't know any sects (that aren't cults) that have their own bibles, and of course googling the bible they mentioned by name turned up nothing. I even asked some ex-fundies about it and nobody knew of it or could guess who Pastor Faggot was.

I basically thought Gail might be being trolled and was just really dumb.

However, some of the funniest stream moments ever come from Christ Zone, I think. Convincing Gail that Postal was a Christian camp simulator, the boys' cooking group, Gail saying hot dogs keep you straight, that opening montage... I re-watched some of it today and found I enjoyed it a lot more now I'm no longer desperately trying to work out what form of fundamentalism Gail is following and who Pastor Faggot and Parking Lot Dietician are.
