I don't know what it's like in the US, but at least over here businesses have very strict anti-Corona protocols in place. A cashier who's interacting with people all day is also washing his hands like 5 times an hour, and will get sent home the instant there's any suspicion he might be infected. You SHOULD be able to trust that they're most likely not infected.

Yeah, I capitalized the "should" for a reason. Ideally you should be able to trust that service providers are unlikely to be infected, but I'm sure American reality isn't the most ideal.
The only places you're going to see something like near-total compliance is little places like Singapore where they're relatively small, homogenous, fairly authoritarian with a population that is okay with that and good about obeying rules, and especially important, on an island where they can control entry in a way that in theory can completely eliminate external pathogens.
And even they're not perfect.

TL;DR Some white fujo is (or, was) RPing on Reddit as a gay Asian (non-specified nationality, of course) man from a "traditional" wealthy family who falls in love with a trans guy, fake dates, realizes that he's in love, and wants Reddit's help confessing. Reads like a fanfic because it basically is one.

Well the places I've been to, the cashiers are regularly disinfecting their surroundings with wipes and sanitizing their hands. I'm not sure if that really makes them safer, but it certainly could create the impression for somebody.
If someone responded to my question about if they have something in stock with animu speak, I would think that person had some kind of legitimated disorder. Either serious autism or downs or something. Basically I'd assume I was dealing with a Chris Chan level barely functioning sperg. I wouldn't be offended because I would assume the manager had hired Jerry's kids out of pity. Most normal people who overheard would wonder the same thing. Not exactly the epic pwnage this person thinks it is.

If you mean hard evidence like a picture of her hunched over the keyboard typing this then no, not really.
It's simply that it ticks a ridiculous number of checkboxes that fit the profile. White girls who are "fans of man/man love" or whatever pretentious term they have for rubbing their unwashed pussies to reading about the Doctor rape Sherlock for the 117th time write like this. They infantilize gay men and trans males that are considered "cute", come up with these contrived situations that result in two people being "pushed" together into romance as their fanfic plots in ways that two people in reality would never just naturally do ("lolol I came into your room but now I'm tooooo tiiiiired to go back to mine I'll just live in your bed from now on okay?"), and frequently have the more masculine of the pair treating the more feminine of the pair as if they were a child or a pet, with lots of lap-hopping and isn't-that-cute "tolerating" their kid-kitten-like behavior.
Basically this reads like a fanfic written by a white fujo, who's merely self-inserted into the role of the Strong Masculine Peeohsee Top. The most obvious conclusion to come to is that rather than these complete white fujo fanfiction stereotypes actually existing, that it's instead a white fujo making it up for upbotes and le gold.
I was thinking more screencap of them admitting it in a PM or slipping up by posting under the wrong account. It's one thing to call bullshit, but it's another to just say things on the internet without anything to back it up... like that entire story.
Given the amount of people invested in it, though, the fallout over finding out it was all lies would be just...
