Okay, Yes i'm a newfag, but hear me out.

I joined this board last week, and i honestly was surprised at how fun it is to use this site. the light hearted bashing of lolcows (and each other) is something i never had growing up. it's nice to be able to relax and unwind after a day in this disgusting, degenerate world we live in, and laugh at people (who many times are no better off than us). when i joined, i got the few "leave now faggot" messages, but i received a lot of nice welcomes and tips. i know i'm no better than anyone we make fun of, and I know my opinion probably is worthless, but i feel more welcome in this place than any other board, forum, or social media site i've ever used. i'm expecting the usual sperging in response to this post, but i don't mind. it's like having older siblings pick on me.

so to end, thank you, farmers, for giving me something i've never had: a community.

Don't get comfortable. This place will chew you up and spit you back out. There are friendly users. There are asshole users. But if you allow yourself to slip, the same people who are laughing with you are very well likely to laugh at you. Some lolcows are the very users that used to post and laugh, but they allowed themselves to get too comfortable and share some details people used to out them on.
