I love spinach, but it lacks crunch... - What should I pair with it?

I'm one of those strange people for which lettuce has a taste. I find it incredibly bitter and I hate including it in anything I make. But it serves an important purpose - providing a satisfying crunch. Iceberg lettuce is the best for this, but it lacks any sort of nutritional value.

Spinach, I find, is a much better leafy green to include, but it has no crunch to it whatsoever. I'm curious if there's something I could pair it with other than iceberg lettuce that would give it a crunch. I've already tried cabbage, and while it works well in salads, it does not go well in things like sandwiches I've found.

Crisp bacon in sweet, hot bacon dressing.

I'm sorry to inform you of this but you have Autism and are obsessed with foods texture rather than flavor and nutrition
purée your next burger and get back to me on that :story:

Good idea actually. I usually like to slightly undercook bacon so it's a bit soft so it never really occured to me to do this. Thanks for the tip!

Mini - Pretzels - in an experimental sense, that'll provide crunch and some decent sodium. Otherwise, I'd chop up some mixed nuts, which is a much more gourmet solution.

Anyone who doesn't second my bacon recommendation is literally gay and, much worse, probably some kind of vegan faggot.

Best recipe.

Fuckton of bacon (depending on what kind you might want to remove some of the grease but generally I want to keep it all)
Equal amounts vinegar (I like balsamic) and honey, light molasses, or whatever sweet stuff
Slightly more oil, EVOO will do, though pretty much any oil is fine
Something sour, like lemon or lime juice
Some horseradish, fresh ground mustard, or whatever

Warm all that shit up. It must be served hot. Not boiling or anything, you don't want to wilt the spinach.

No leaves other than spinach.

For the accompaniments, I love tomatoes, mushrooms, capers, anchovies, pretty much anything but weaker, less robust leaves like iceberg lettuce and other shit like that. If you have to add other leaves, how about mesclun greens, arugula, radishes, celery, whatever.

I love spinach and it should be the star of the show in any salad it's in. Do you want to be Popeye or do you want to be Popeye?

Make spinach pie for extra crunch. I like spinach pie a lot and spanakorizo (spinach with rice, olive oil, salt-pepper,olive oil and feta cheese).

I don't like raw spinach in salads tho.
