I need a decent inexpensive wireless mouse suitable for gaming... any suggestions? -

The one I have now is very light.. and glitchy. It jerks all over the screen and makes me scream and punch drywall. Can anyone suggest a mouse that isn't a million bucks but work good enough for gaming?

Wireless isn't usually a good idea for gaming, depending on what you're playing.
Do you have any other wireless peripherals that could be interfering with it?
Also, check in Device Manager that Windows isn't powering down the USB port that the dongle is in; I've had that happen after a Windows update and it made my mouse nearly unusable until I figured out what had happened.

I'm not really talking hardcore gaming. Mainly casual. I guess wired would have more precision though?

The mouse I have came with a keyboard.. so it was incredibly cheap and probably low quality. I also don't have a mousepad at the moment, so that could be a factor. But I've used other mouses in the same way and this one just sucks.

Until you get to the stupidly expensive ones, most wireless mice are crap for gaming, compared to the wired equivalents. Even then, a decent wired mouse will always be better than a wireless one at the same price point.

Ok, good to know. I'll probably look into a wired one then. I hate having so many cables.. but if it makes photo editing and gaming less frustrating it'd probably be worth it.

I hated wireless, complete waste of batteries and good luck if you lose the tiny USB dongle. It's better to go for a decent wired mouse. I have a Logitech G-series wired mouse that works great both for games and general use that was less than $100. I don't know your budget, so I'm not sure if this mouse is good for your situation, good luck on finding a mouse.

yeah wireless is great for random browsing and other shit where if it craps out for a few seconds it doesn't matter, but not for Tactical Gaming Of The Onlines
as far as serious business pointing device go I've had good results with any of those cheap china "gaming mice" that go for under five bucks on ebay and have trackspeed up/down, page back/forward, and the usual two main buttons and a scroll wheel

I have a Corsair Harpoon wireless mouse and it seems pretty good to me, although I pretty much only play single player stuff so idk how it’d perform in a fast paced multiplayer esports environment.

Logitech m570 a single AA battery lasts around six months, no mousepad needed.

Wireless mouse technology has been on par with wired counterparts latency-wise for half a decade now, really the only drawback is that you have to charge them. In fact quite a few pros use the logitech g pro wireless / superlight. Though I wouldn't recommend logitech, at that price you'd expect them to have decent QC but they don't because they keep using the same faulty switches that end up double clicking.

I'd recommend following this list https://www.rocketjumpninja.com/top-mice, also Razer seems to have stepped up their game lately with their optical switches, which seem a lot more durable than logitech's chinese omrons.

Yeah, but real gamers don't use wireless mice anyways. You're probably the kind of "gamer" who gets beat up at school.

Logitech M525 is God tier and was only ~$30. Got it 4 years ago randomly from Walmart, it’s been solid and reliable. I have yet to replace the batteries. It’s outlasted two laptops.

Logitech G305 is the cheapest mouse I know that has "gaming grade" wireless. Got mine for 30 bucks which I consider a good price compared to the 100+ high end options. Only downside is it doesn't have an integrated battery.

Corsair Harpoon RGB. Simple design, cheap, perfect for traveling if you're gaming on a laptop

USB 3 can interfere with 2.4Ghz devices, including wireless networks, Bluetooth, and proprietary 2.4Ghz wireless comms for Logitech mice etc.
Your best bet is to standardize on wires. These always work.
