I was looking through the Yahoo headlines and found this little article:

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/s/60m-old-fossil-t-convince-creationist-earth-older-105006686.html

Basically this guy finds a fossil that is 6 Million years old. But even with this proof, he only believes the earth is 6 Thousand years old.

It has been a constant war between faith and science. My thought: Why should it be a war? We have proof. We can see it. It is obviously real and right in front of us. God and Miracles might have to be taken on faith, but that doesn't mean that we should ignore the truth right in front of us. If you believe in God, then why not believe science is a better way to understand his work?

I just don't understand why someone feels the need to just ignore something that is factually proven. I know people like this and it never makes sense to me.

...I'm not sure this is really a lolcow thread. If you want to get into a debate over religion, make the thread under deep thoughts or something. Unless there's something else the subject of the article's done, he's not a lolcow.

Its not so much religion as people who don't want to see something that is right in front of them. I believe in God, but I don't see why science has to be considered against him. It just confuses me why people feel that it is either one way or the other.
