CWC Sets to be Replaced.PNG

Please. Thank You.

EDIT: Below is the top six sets of Chris's list. There are many more, of course, but remember, he has prioritized them from "need" to "want".

Well he does "need" them. A need is something actually, or perceived as, necessary. In Chris' case, he doesn't need Legos to live, but CWCville does. This is his new goal in life, bringing CWCville to life. Since comic CWCville is gone, he needs his Lego-CWCville to be reality. A safe heaven to lock himself a way and play pretend, a place where all his fantasies can happen. Unfortunately Legos are expensive, so we have this aggresive e-begging.

Now, this doesn't mean his behaviour is excused. Bob dying, the trial, the truth about the gal-pals, the house burning down... It's almost as if life was giving Chris all these situations in which he could actually grow and turn a over a new leaf. The lego obsession is just Chris refusing to deal, and finding a new way to hide from reality. : / It's sad.

Let's see how long he keeps it up. A year? More?

It just shows his lack of creativity.
He loves his Goodwill, and you can get bags of used bricks there very cheap - my friend who goes to the US every year once brought me some. From 20 year old classics to parts from rather recent sets. Of course, that would require him to come up with his own designs, but he can only follow instructions or make tiny modifications (like combining a dozen or so Friends sets to create his high school).

I like how Chris puts his Facebook 'location' is Piedmont Virginia Community College.

(That's his location, right? I don't have a Facebook)

(Also apologies if it's been like that for ages and there's already a multi-page thread about this...)

All good points. However, Fat Dummy has been doing this all his life. Creating "Cwcville" over and over reinforces it's sense of reality to him, makes it seem "more real." Lego Cwcville is his earliest effort, predating Sonichu and possibly going as far back as his American Rabbit days. Absent significant and prolonged therapy, he'll probably never stop trying.

Can't wait for some flush-with-cash-to-spare LEGO fanatic to send him his empty boxes of each of these sets because, you know, they don't need the packaging, just the parts that were shipped in them and they want to help out a tomgirl in need.

The alternative is a LOT of handjobs in the alley on Chris' part because nobody is paying a grand for his scribbling on paper with non-toxic markers.
